Is it worth having my last meal 4 hours before sleep?

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking lately about stopping late-night eating and having my last meal about 4 hours before I go to bed.
For those of you who have tried it, did you notice any difference in sleep quality, digestion, energy levels, or even hunger during the day? Or did it just make you feel extra hungry at night? 😅
In general, do you think it’s actually worth it as a habit, or is it kind of overhyped?

I ask chat GPT these types of questions and it gives whatever the current consensus is for nutrition or whatever. Stopping eating 3 hours before bed is supposed to be the way to go.

Personally, I eat throughout the whole day and spread out the meals 3-4 hours broscience style. I have no idea how effective it is but I feel good doing it that way. I train a lot right now and need to eat a lot and there's no energy crash from large meals eating that way. When it's time for me to diet though, I'll probably hold off until noon for the first meal and stop eating 3 hours before bed.

Try both and see what feels better for you.

obviously stuffing yourself right before bed is probably bad and has more than just calorie impact but other things like acid reflux

I remember back in the day people used to hype casein protein right before bed to supposedly keep your metabolism boosted during sleep and keep protein uptake going all night.

now days fasting is in.

reality is even the "experts" are a lot of bro science. Human bodies are so complex that whenever they do these "studies" their ability to isolate a single variable in the study is greatly diminished and they are placing a lot of trust in the test subjects self reporting to them what they really did, what they really ate, drank ect.

If you were getting paid for a study would you admit you fucked up and ate or drank the wrong thing? probably not

That means no swallowing your bf’s cum after 7 pm

Make sure you’ve thought this through.
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."
