Safe to say Tom Brady has proven himself

All the system QB haters have nothing to lean on anymore.

43 year old TB on pace for another 4000+ yds, 35+ TD, and 96+ QB Rating; Not to mention well on his way to leading another team to the playoffs.

The GOAT is undisputed now
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

and he hasn’t even been playing well from the eye test yet still putting up solid numbers

full camp next season and hopefully normal schedules I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a 2nd season with new team ala Manning in Denver and dropping 50 dimes

Disagree

People claiming he was/is a system QB, would not be claiming on another team he would be complete trash, just that he wouldn't look like a hall of fame, top 5 all time QB.

The stats he is putting up are good, but not great and with the team he has around him I'd bet that theres 10-15 QBs today that could match them. That means he hasnt proven that he can be a HoF level player in another system

This. Brady's resume speaks for itself. He doesn't need to prove anything. 6 rings, 9 super bowl appearances, and countless records spanning two decades of dominance.

Not really. His WR corps is literally better than his 2007 weapons and his stats are not even close to being the best in the league like it was in 2007. He is 14th in passer rating this year, so he's actually about league average while having far superior weapons than everyone else. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin both saw a pretty big hit in their production this year because of it. Chris Godwin was going to get paid since he is UDFA and now he lost a bunch of money this year.

Brady will prove to me he is the GOAT QB if he wins a ring with the Bucs, this year or next year. I always thought Brady was great himself obviously but I never thought he was the GOAT or the reason why they won. Belichick was the reason why they won the Superbowls. Till then, I'll go with Peyton Manning, a guy who did win with two teams because he was the system and ran his own **** and every team knew it and if you paired Peyton and Belichick they would have won just as many, if not more rings.

LOL Do you even recall the Season that Peyton won his 2nd SB? Played like trash and was carried by the defense.

Yes and I actually think he is a good example that teams win championships.

It doesn't change the fact that he was just as dominant in Denver as he was in Indy. This is with a change of coach and massively diminished arm strength. All year long we've had to hear about how Brady and Arians aren't having this system fit and all this nonsense. Peyton never had this issue because you did what he said. Plus, another thing you need to remember is this

Peyton made it to the Superbowl 4 times. All 4 times? He had a different head coach. Lets see if Brady can even get to 2.

Gosh, it's almost like he has a better WR3 than some team's WR1's. Must be rough.

lol he's 43

You want him to put up HOF MVP numbers at 43? GTFO

Some of you are incapable of accepting reality. If he was a system QB he would have dropped off compared to last year or when he was 41 or 40. LOL at comparing him to when he was 33 saying hurrr he dropped off compared to when he was in his prime. No f*cking sh*t sherlock. Even Brady can't escape the decline of age. No one can.

Brady has Evans, Godwin, AB, Gronk, Brate which is probably the most stacked receiving options in NFL history and more stacked than his 2007 group and puts up average QB numbers compared to the league.

Must mean he is the undisputed GOAT of course.

You could have said the same for Peyton in his Record Setting year. The difference is Brady never ran the whole offense himself in NE. Much more difficult transition when you have a completely different system to adapt to along with all this other crap going on this year. Also The Bucs OL isn't much to brag about

That's the point. Peyton can do that, Brady cannot otherwise he would have done it by now in Tampa.

Well two things.

1.) I hear from Patriots/Brady fans all the time that Brady is not washed and he is still in his prime. So he has declined cause of age right?
2.) The other thing I hear is that the Bucs need to change their system to what Brady is working with. Seems like this issue should not be happening at all if Brady could run his own offense.

I am not really taking anything away from Brady. I think he has simply declined and is just afraid of taking hits which is why he is not putting up MVP numbers right now, but there all sorts of pulls and contradictions here.

lol. Give me a Peyton Performance that's better than the comeback vs. The Falcons. I'll be waiting forever.

I mean he came back down 21-3 vs. the Patriots in 2006 in the AFC Championship game. It's arguably more impressive since he did it against Belichick/Brady Patriots and a much better defense. Besides, are you going to pretend that the 28-3 comeback wasn't more on the Falcons choking miserably than Brady being god?

Yeah, no. Thats not more impressive than coming back from 28-3 down in basically one quarter to win the SB.

That's your opinion, I think coming back down against Belichick and Brady and an elite defense is more impressive. Brady got aid from Kyle Shanahan's offense snapping with 10-20 seconds left on the playclock, Donta Hightower getting a strip sack, and Devonta Freeman blowing a block which took them out of FG range.

The Falcons was an epic choke job and I am pretty sure I read somewhere had the Falcons just taken a kneel the rest of the 4th quarter and take it to 0 playclock and punted that they would have won.

And maybe that Pats team just choked that one or maybe there was some context you are leaving out. Who cares?

I don't think you even know what you're talking about. Both QBs had to learn a new system when they were traded. Manning didn't step in year one and put up league leading numbers.

Manning's first year in Denver: 68%, 4,600 yards, 37 TDs, 11 INTs
Brady's first season in TB so far: 64%, 3,500 yards, 30 TDs, 11 INTs

With 3 more games, Brady is more than likely going to close that gap and possibly pass him in a few of those categories.

1) If you are talking with anyone who says Brady is still in his prime, you should just stop talking to them. Brady is my favorite player, but you'd never hear me saying he's playing career football.

2) I don't know what you mean. Are you saying Brady doesn't understand football enough to call his own plays? The issue that Brady is having in TB is that Arians style of football is pass heavy and throw it deep. Brady isn't athletic enough to scramble and extend plays and their offensive line isn't protecting him well enough for him to sit in the pocket and wait for deep routes to develop. As you mentioned, and I would agree, Brady doesn't want to take hits and I think that's part of the reason his deep passes have suffered.

Brady is playing well, but obviously age is getting to him. No one expected him to put up MVP numbers or career bests. Trying to compare him today to a 36 year Manning is somewhat laughable.

I think Brady has had an OK year.

Nothing great. If you watch him play, especially when TB plays good teams, he does struggle more than he used to.

And with that WR core, it is hard not to at least do 'ok'.

AB as your third wr? LOL.

I think if he was on a team with less weapons, his age would be exposed more.

That being said, he is still good. Just not 'great'.

Well the Colts allowed 13 more points in the 2nd half and Colts had to put up 35 points to make up for it. Patriots literally shut out the Falcons in the 4th quarter.

Peyton got less help from his defense to finish the game in comparison to Brady's defense who forced turnovers and shut out the Falcons.

Peyton in 2012 was 2nd in the NFL in passer rating. Brady is currently 14th. All it means is that it is much easier to throw in today's league it was 8 years ago and it's true. Passing gets easier and easier because offense sells. Compare to their competition, not raw numbers, unless you think Kirk Cousins was better than Dan Marino.
Brady is playing well, but obviously age is getting to him. No one expected him to put up MVP numbers or career bests. Trying to compare him today to a 36 year Manning is somewhat laughable.
Plenty did, homers, but obviously you seem reasonable. My point is more so that Peyton can and will always run what he wants, Brady can't, don't think he is capable of running his own offense.

Peyton looked like **** in 2015 running kubiaks offense
