Yeah, it's better to have it be Wilson vs Fields than any of the total garbage they have had at QB since Ben retired........

Fields' stats are mildly better than Pickett's, worse considering the turnovers. KP didn't turn the ball over much because nobody could catch his passes. I think Wilson would have more of a bone to pick if they brought in Tannehill or Minshew, etc.

Fields is an experiment to see if they can turn him around to be a starting caliber QB in their system in a year or two. Thats all and thats it. It cost them basically nothing to find out if they can turn a bust around

many teams do this, look at all the 1st round QBs that end up on another team despite being a bust.

its funny to see all the people thinking Fields is and was a great QB for the bears. Passing stats don't lie

Didn't Tomlin already announce that Wilson is the starter and Fields is the backup? I don't think there's a qb controversy in Pitt.

Wilson wasn't getting much better of an opportunity anywhere else.

He's been promised the starting gig on day 1. after that it's on him to keep it. I'm sure he knew Pitt would add another QB. anywhere else he went would've at least been similar or worse of a situation.
