I read that he was going to be compensated monetarily, too. It obviously won't be anywhere close to $500k, if he gets any money, so he definitely messed up. Keep that ball 10 times out of 10.

No you don’t

Imagine if you’d been wheeled out on the field for the game Brees set the passing yards mark and ended up with the ball. Would you honestly keep it?

No

I’m sure the NFL would have found a cheeky way of authenticating a different ball as the official “600th TD” ball and had Brady sign it. Making the ball the fan had virtually useless.

Big corporations will always find a way to win out in these situations.

Hindsight is 20/20 but he should have bolted out of the stadium as soon as he got it. If they tried to pull any legal BS he could argue that he was holding on to a gold mine and didn’t feel safe so he left. The NFL would get it back one way or another though.

This and this. Would be tough to confirm it's the 600th ball to begin with. Plus the fact that he might not be able to leave the stadium w/ it without getting mugged. Plus all above.

Bucs are giving Byron Kennedy the following for the No. 600 TD football: Two signed jerseys and a helmet from Tom Brady, a signed Mike Evans jersey & his game cleats, a $1K credit at our team store, and two season passes for the remainder of this season as well as next season.

That's not bad. Probably not worth keeping the ball dude would probably get death threats and chit. Instead he gets all that and will probably get some news coverage and his 15 minutes and will look like a good guy.

I would have caved.

Glad Brady and TB took care of him. Definitely got paid handsomely but I'm sure he regrets missing out on 750k (if he even would have garnered that on the open market for the ball)

Respect for that fan. Guarantee he will be hooked up with season tix or something else that's special. Money isn't always everything. Good guy fan will be rewarded. Imagine how greedy and shiesty he'd look if he kept that ball. He's viewed as a respectable human now.

The fck are you talking about?

It wasn't Brady's ball - it was the NFL's. Brady threw it, the fan who paid to be there, got handed it. Brady can buy it just fine and dandy if it's that important to him. He effectively gave it back to NFL management with is the biggest cuck move ever.

It wasn’t even his. He has no right to the ball, unlike in baseball with catching home runs. He only had it because “dumb as a brick” mike evans gave it to him like a retard. He should simply be happy to have been in Lord Brady’s presence and called it a win
