This is what happens when you spend all your cap on a QB.

Dolphins gave up 5 picks and extended Hill to 4 years $120 million, $72 million guaranteed. Miami overpaid big time.

Hill has bailed out Mahomes big time on a huuge number of plays. Wonder how Mahomes will fare without him going foward.

This also was inevitable since most of their cap is in Mahomes.

KC couldn't afford to pay Hill that contract. This is a business, but I was hoping he'd stick with KC knowing they've stuck with him through so much BS.

I'm a little indifferent right now. It sucks because he was so dynamic

same here, but in Mahomes we trust.

Mecole needs to step up and we gotta hit on our WR draft pick. Still got the best security blanket in the league with Kelce so I think all the doom and gloom Chiefs first to worst haters are overreacting.

im not gonna doubt Kelce, but its alot harder now without Tyreek attracting all that attention. Kelce is the focus of the defence until another option steps up.

Why would a team with an average QB and good receivers give up all that draft capital for another yet WR they're going to have to pay a boat load of money?

Honestly a good year to get rid of an aging WR who relies on his speed, lots of good WRs in the draft this year. KC just has to get a decent one and they'll be fine. Smart to cut ties with Hill now and get a haul for him.

AFC West games are going to be so fun to watch this year. All of them.

Been waiting 2 years for Mecole to become that guy. It’s year 4. Make or break time.
All it takes is Mookie Betts, Steph Curry, and Joe Burrow all sitting in the same car in order for one drunk driver to make the world a significantly better place.

Chiefs are basically in a mini rebuild.

No way someone could just step in and fill his shoes.

Think about how well the Chiefs did drafting Tyreek Hill:

Invested - 5th round draft pick in 2016

Return - 6 x Pro Bowler
3 x 1st team All-Pro
1 x 2nd team All-Pro
Super Bowl champions and AFC champions
1st round pick, 2nd round pick, 2 x 4th round picks, 6th round pick
Avoid paying him the cap busting contract Miami just gave him, 4 years, $120 million with $72.2 million guaranteed.

Miami is taking a huge risk here. They're giving up a ton for a speed receiver getting a ton of guaranteed money, what if he gets lazy and loses a step or becomes injury prone? What if you throw all of that money at a guy with a domestic assault conviction and child abuse investigation on his rap sheet and add the party life in Miami, what could possibly go wrong?

Chiefs already got a ton of value from a 5th round pick and they get a huge haul of picks and don't have to pay top dollar to a guy with known character issues, huge win for the Chiefs.

After this season I think the Chiefs would have had to pick between paying Tyreek Hill what he wanted and paying 25 year old 3 time Pro Bowl OT Orlando Brown Jr what he is going to command.

The HC and GM remember what the Super Bowl vs the Bucs was like, if Mahomes doe not have any time to throw and is constantly running for his life it does not matter how good your receivers are he won't be able to find them consistently. With a top caliber O-Line he'll find someone eventually.

So they'll invest in the younger player who will be with them longer at probably the more important/harder to replace position with no known character issues. The Chiefs also invested draft picks including a 1st rounder to acquire Brown I don't think they're letting him walk.
