I was taught when I was a teen to NEVER get out on the highway or pull over. If you have a flat tire just drive on it until you can get off. It's this weird thing where cars are magnetized towards human bodies. I heard he was crossing too which is the worst thing possible. What a waste of a life man. Dude was super talented and liked on the field. Tragic.

A lot of times people assume cars will stop, or don't judge the speed of an oncoming car correctly. People get hit all the time in otherwise easily avoidable collisions. Especially people on bikes thinking they have the right of way and vehicles need to yield to them, and not realizing they need to follow the rules of the road.
