Lmfao at the Cleveland Browns( Watson facing possible suspension)

Im glad the Raiders stayed clears of Deshaun Watson. The New York Times reported Watson met with at least 66 women
for massage appointments over a 17-month period. Now, his attorney is hinting of a likely suspension by the NFL lmaoooooooo

https://www.nfldraftdiamonds.com/202...on-suspension/

I doubt the NFL will sweep this under the rug.

On and to add cherry on top, Baker Mayfield is still on the Brown's books for $18,858,000 and its all dead cap if they release him.

I mentioned in another thread how it was suspicious how quiet this whole thing has been until recently. With how the NFL dishes out suspensions for dumb chit like weed, I can't imagine a scenario where Watson isn't facing some kind of suspension.

How long is the real question...... I don't think 6 games will be enough for public image. NFL won't risk having a black eye due to taking sexual allegations lightly.

Either

a.) The Browns had some kind of idea what kind of action is facing Watson through conversations with the league or Texans before the trade was done and decided to bite the bullet and take whatever suspension comes

or

b.) The Browns are just that stupid.

Option B is very possible, lol

I love all of this for the Browns

Wrecked the QB market, and tossed Mayfield out on his ass after winning them their first playoff game in 1,000 years

I hope Watson gets suspended for several seasons and the Browns pay him every penny he’s owned

im just guessing here but wasnt ridley suspeneded indefinitely for betting on games while not even playing in the nfl? no way watson isnt suspeneded atleast a year for public image. many lesser profile players have received 6 game suspensions for allegations that got thrown out quicker than watsons
I dont give a f*ck about a b*tch on the internet

Think hell get suspended indefinitely srs
If the NFL want to look good this is what will happen. The Browns will be the sacrificial table Watson gets sacrificed on.

Option A is probably the likely answer. Isn't Watson's salary for the 1st year pretty low? It's like the Browns knew that he would be suspended this upcoming season. However, things gonna be interesting since 2 more lawsuits popped up after he signed his contract. If the Browns have any way out of his contract they should seriously consider cutting ties.

I'd hope its option A. I can't imagine a team being so blinded and stupid that they'd give up that kind of capital for a player with major legal question marks....but you never know. The new lawsuits are definitely concerning. I hope the Browns put some language in the contract to get out clean if something happens.

I can't see him getting less than 1 year.

I would hope it's open A, too. I think anyone with a lick of common sense knew Watson would probably get suspended for a good amount.

They do that with every contract they make.

All the accusers were known. Of course more were going to come and seek money after he signs a $230 million dollar contract. Criminal charges were denied. This man is simply being railroaded by a scumbag lawyer taking advantage of the situation to make money.

I wonder if the NFL will still issue disciplinary action. They suspended Zeke Elliott for bullchit where the witness was proven to be unreliable.

Hopefully whatever they settled for doesn't get leaked. There could be women just waiting back to see what/if any of these other sloots get paid. It seems like this chit is never ending.

I thought Watson was determined to fight to maintain his innocence and clear his name? Settling with those women is like an admission of guilt IMO. Really curious to see what the NFL is gonna do at this point.

It is my understanding from what I’ve read that the NFL does not dish out suspensions until their investigation is completed. This means they won’t conclude their investigation while there are active civil suits being worked through.

Would look like complete morons if they dish out a suspension based off the already settled cases (which I assume do not admit guilt), and then later cases come out and settle where he admits some form of wrongdoing.

They also don’t put players on basically Administrated Paid Leave while their investigation is ongoing like MLB did to Trevor Bauer (who got totally railroaded btw).

The NFL's image is about to go to sh!t. A judge just approved to have Jon Gruden's lawsuit to be in public court, and not in the NFL kangaroo court like every other case has ever been at with the NFL. This will be the FIRST case the NFL has had in public court EVER! They realized 6 emails that were Grudens, but his discovery has over 650,000 emails. Wait until they release the emails he was simply replying too. NFL is going to complete sh!t and I can honestly see one of these amateur leagues taking more momentum for ratings. (Ded fkn Srs)

Hopefully it will also drag a few MSM figures into this too. Guaranteed those Gruden comments are way tame compared to the other nasty racist chit that will get dug up.

The latest is the league wants indefinite suspension but at least one year. That came out yesterday and was definitely leaked for a reason. Watson has some big dick attorney repping him against the league who is threatening to expose the NFL coverups with Robert Kraft, Jerry Jones, Dan Snyder and the Gruden thing if they don't negotiate in good faith.

It's worth noting two TX grand juries declined to bring charges against Watson.

The Washington Post's Mark Maske reports the NFL "will argue that Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson should receive a 'significant' suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy."
