Mac McClung is from Gate City, Virginia (about 25 miles from me). He is a 6'2" scoring guard that can easily hit his head on the rim.

Originally went to Georgetown for 2 years. I remember Patrick Ewing flying in to watch him 4 or 5 years back.

McClung transferred to Texas Tech for the remainder of his college career. He may have skipped his senior season for the draft.

I believe that he went undrafted before the Lakers picked up his rights. The Lakers loaned him to the Bullls for a few games his first year.

McClung then got traded to the Warriors. Steve Kerr liked him but wanted a point guard instead of a scorer.

I believe that he is now on loan to the Sixers and under contract to their g-league team with the intentions of bringing him up as needed.

McClung is a skywalker and flashy passer who can also shoot pretty well. He just needs to find the right team to bring him up.

I've never seen a white guy who is relatively short in NBA standards do stuff like that. And he nailed every dunk on the first try.

Good thing too, because the dunk competition has been garbage for years.

Thanks for the info brah, srs. He was great to watch. Honestly I didn't even figure him for being 6'. Srs. He looked 5'11" at most, but that's probably because of everyone around him on the court at the dunk contest. His only downfall for the dunk contest is he'll never be able to launch from one foot and have epic jams like MJ. He's just too short. Every one of his dunk are launched from two feet, like Spud Webb was.Yeah brah he looked like 5'11" at most to me during the contest. Amazing hops.

The guy's basically like the video game version we've all created of ourselves.
Interesting to see if he can play against the big boys.

Really emphasized how important getting it on the first try is - there is pretty much zero hype no matter what you do if you have to re-do a dunk.

Nah, but in all srsness, dude is crazy impressive. He's not even actually over 6'2, either. He's more like 6 foot MAX or maybe just 5'11. His listed height is an e-stat.

Been fun watching Mac over the years. Gotta respect his drive as he has been underestimated from Georgetown and Texas Tech, and still working at getting a roster spot on an NBA team.

He would make a fortune and score a TON of buckets over in China.
