Concept of sharing a bed with you spouse?
I got thinking about this recently. While we are single, we have our bed to ourselves. But once we get married, we are expected to share the bed with the spouse. Where did this concept originate from? Like who came up with the idea that now that Im married I have share my bed with my wife/spouse and why is it adopted worldwide among many different cultures?

Originally it came from poor people, who had to squeeze into little houses and couldn't afford seperate bedrooms. Anyone who could afford it had seperate bedrooms.
Then when poor and middle class people started to be able to live decent sized houses they stuck with the shared bed and it became a social expectation.

Maybe you should just try men if women in your bed disturb you

It’s an interesting question actually. I could see it coming from Victorian England. I recently adopted a dog and the lady at the shelter told me to feed him three small meals a day to help his metabolism. I tried not to laugh in her face. But that got me thinking about where the idea of three meals a day for humans came from etc etc.
To me it would seem very weird to sleep separately from my wife. It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s just a natural thing that sort of occurred. I’m sure a good few cultures don’t do it but idk.
From a room standpoint I wouldn’t be anymore comfortable cutting our eastern kind into two fulls so I don’t think it matters.
Plus I like to be able to reach over and touch her, rub her ass etc.

Since marriage comes from religion I imagine it has a lot to do with how religions value people getting together on a regular basis for closesness /community. It's like how communities gather at church every Sunday to keep their faith and community bonds strong. Sleeping in the same bed seems like a mini version of that between husband and wife. I'm totally guessing though.
