Have done this also and a few still came back. LOL!

There may be a downside, if you have common friends and do this the women will put you on blast big time and you will be a butt-hurt ******* in the eyes of a lot of the women in the group so if you gotta see her out it's best to NC via phone and to basically disregard when you see her in person.

This happened to me 2x last summer with a guy I liked. Me being stupid I paid for the tix, the pre-game drinks, drove, and he barely spoke to me during the show. Never again.
