This isn't unusual at all. You should be getting 1 maybe 2 prospects a month on dating apps unless you have 0 standards. I refuse to go on dates with girls that I'm not very attracted to, so I'm okay with the idea of meeting less women.

As for your ex, of course it hit you like a ton of bricks. I go 2-3 days in a row now without thinking of my ex because we aren't connected on any social media and have no mutual friends. If I saw a pic of her with some dude I'd probably feel pretty chitty as well.

Minor bump in the road...Stop following her and keep on going forward.

You clicked on purpose, and that is ok.

You are idealizing the good times with your ex and second guessing yourself because your hurt feelings and emotions aren't lining up with what you rationally know to be the truth in your head. You know logically that you broke it off and you should be okayish if your ex moves on. That doesn't mean it still doesn't hurt you to see it despite what you tell yourself in your head.

You are unhappy with the women on dating apps because dating apps are nothing more than shallow meat markets and matches are made solely on first physical impressions.

From what I have read of your posts, you are striking out with women because you are keeping a mental comparison sheet between the women and your current idealized view of your ex whether that be consciously or subconsciously. Hence why you find the potentials all subpar.

My advice would be to go truly NC and take some time until your headspace is better and you can evaluate potentials based on their own merits. Also, trash the dating apps.

You only feel this way because you havn't replaced her yet because she replaced you, you feel like you're losing some pseudo competition you created in your mind. 6 months from now you'll be banging your new HBB and wondering why you felt anything in the first place.

The quicker you snap out of it the quicker you can repair your ego and get back to normal. Everyone's different but for me i'll take the time to do things that are off the table when i'm in a relationship, because alot of those things are very very fun.

For example:

Raves or EDM concerts - Can't go to a rave in a relationship, it's a bunch of sloots and horny young dudes yoked out on E. Fun times, you will definately get wet wet from some girl practically already naked if you drop your inhibitions. Even if you don't like EDM music just go to one. Don't stand around like an awkward *******, drop the inhibitions and dance even if you're bad at it.

Degenerate behavior - Go to a stripclub or a massage parlour, Show off your body when you get there. You know how often these girls get good looking guys in the door? Like once a year, you're going to be the highlight of their month at a minimum. Wouldn't reccomend actually having sex with one but get a blowjob or something.

Other degenerate behavior - Check reddit for local cam girls or models and offer to make vids with them, they are usually taking applications and the only requirements are to not be fat with an average or above average cock and no STD's. You'd be surprised how many amatuer cam girls live in your area, it's the new thing to do for girls in college that want easy money. (chit can get weird , some of them will have boyfriends that watch or other weird chit, go with it)

If you have trouble rationalizing behavior like this then remember this: You'll be dead in 70 years(MAX) and no one will remember any of this - go have some fun.

My list may not work for you, but you have an oppurtunity now while single to experience things that you can't do if you've pledged your mind and body to a woman. You also have the advantage of being jacked and a good face, regardless of height you are in the top 10% of males your age.

When you find the next girl to be in a relationship with you'll have crazy stories to share with her instead of being like the other miscrs that are worried about her bodycount. She'll respect that, I guarentee it.

Cliffs: Lower inhibitions

Sick and tired of seeing these threads lately with soft AF OP's, dead srs. I'll give you somewhat of an exception because she's your first and the first always stings the most. You've only now molded into a true man brosef. I had an ex text me bragging about smashing an acquaintance and I laugh. I feel more disrespected by the acquaintance tbh. Moral of the story: learn to disconnect emotions for those who are not worthy of it. Not in due time but in the instant things are broken off.

It's been 3 months now bro, you should start more actively dating. This wouldn't have phased you at all or for certain much less if you were seeing someone else already, as you should be. Nobody said you have to marry everyone you date man. It's summer, have some fun, occupy your time/mind. Based on your posts I am under the impression that you are not approaching dating sites correctly. You seem to be screening wife material based on their profile. How she fluffs herself up means nothing and is not always an indication of her true self. Prior to meeting, you should only really be screening if she sufficiently attractive, acceptable age/location, if she has a decent career and ethnicity (if that matters to you). You can interrogate her on the date to ensure she meets your standards of similar morals/values, personality, etc. You could be letting a good one go. INB4 I don't want to waste time. Well then sit there and think about what could have been with regard to ex, as you have been

Why do you even have social media apps? It ain't nothing but problems, I have none of that chit.

My gf of 2.5 years broke up with me last month. Ivw done the same thing you've done. I have no idea what's going on in her social life nor does she know anything about mine. I plan on keeping it that way permanently. I'll also never see her again cause she just moved halfway across the country. And even when she lived in our state she was 2.5 hours away. I have no interest in checking on her in any form. I'm moving on pretty well actually. I have dates and I'm sleeping with different girls. Yea the lonely sucks and I still think about her everyday, but it's not terrible. Just remove her from your life in every way op.

OP the only reason your feeling like this is because she is your first.
You need to man up dude.
The first one is always the hardest to get over. You think she is the "only one."
Fact is you've only been with one serious woman your whole life, so that thought is engraved in your head.

You need to delete everything about her. Grab your nutz and realize there are a billion woman out there. You will find a new and better one.

why is stuff showing up on your feed? You don't need to block her. but goddammit unfollow her on everything man...you don't need information relevant to her popping up

He's in the same area as me. He's younger than me, in better shape than me, and no kids. I could get a date for every night just from tinder, and I only swipe right on 7+'s. Super likes make a huge difference. You have to figure not all the women you are swiping on are seeing your profile unless they have already swept on everyone in your area and since women get a match for every right swipe they do, they have no reason to swipe on every guy. Use boost, use super likes. 100% worth the extra cost if you want more matches with the women you want to meet, especily when you live in area of 7 mil people in a 50 mile radius.

Half are single, half of single people are online, half are women 875k women. 10% are probably worth your time. 10% of them will think you are worth their time 8,750 prospects.

Dating at 30 is incredibly exhausting. Sometimes its hard to accept you're gonna be a stepdad. Its a little easier if you knew the girl somehow.
You'll breathe a huge sigh of relief when you figure it out.

It took me pursuing the 'one that got away' and it worked out. Pigs fly OP.
Prepare to be a shell of a man like I was 28-30 having casual sex with absolutely zero feelings. You're gonna hurt a lot of girls. And guys because a lot of those bumble girls have men already.

Feel free to pm me if you need personal advice.

I'm 34, so a bit older than you. But contextually, the same situation. I don't think casual sex with resolve my problems. And no, not accepting I'm gonna be a stepdad.. lmao are you crazy.

Right now I have to set some time limits on how long I stay in this job and city, looking for a suitable partner before I just move East by myself; maybe buy a home in a decent community where I'd like to live, get a new job and then find a woman from there.

Isn't it amazing how replaceable people are? It's almost like love is simply a response due to chemical concentrations in your brain due to certain stimuli, and when your body becomes tolerant to those stimuli, it disappears. It's almost like there's no meaning to anything, and we are just these biological robots that replicate. Just fukking lol at how pointless it all is.

Ye, we're replaceable for sure. All you gotta do is imagine that your (or anyone's) wife or husband had never been born (or you'd never met), and you see it. But what does that matter really, you're releasing those chemicals and forming a strong bond. Why does it matter if it's just biology and chemistry?

I also don't think some relationships areeasilyreplaceable. It took me a long time to meet someone I had a connection with like her, and as someone pointed out, there's a decent chance I'll never have that again. I'm rolling through hundreds of profiles, I work with lots of women etc. and they don't compare.

On the other hand, lots of people have stories where they felt like they'd never find the connection, but they did and end up being thankful they broke up. So I remain hopeful. As one of my best friends told me, it's kinda a roll of the dice.

Nope, you are never going to find it if your are only comparing other women to your ex. You have to realize that you are not looking for better, you are looking for different, which will end up being better.

Why don't the emotions line up with the rationality of the choice? People always say go with your gut, and my gut felt something was off with us, so I didn't commit. Why do our emotions always lean towards reminiscing the good times? I guess that's a whole separate topic on the human brain and it's protection mechanisms (to forget bad things more than good).

Ye, she left for a month (it was pre-planned vacation), but they seem to be exclusive. He's deleted all dating apps, and pretty sure she has too. She's Christian and really into philosophy, really intelligent it seems, and they send long emails to each other (avoiding text, social media etc).

Kinda jealous of him, he started dating shortly before me after breaking up with his last gf. However, this new girl had planned to leave the city before she met him (post graduate), and has only about 2-3 months left. So they need to figure out those logistics. Wouldn't surprise me if he leaves with her tbh, but I think they are against living together before marriage (as per Christian tradition).

Maybe I'm just terrible at reeling them in then. I have 100ish quality matches but have only met 3 of them. A lot of the convo die almost immediately since it seems like every girl has a short attention span. If you don't swing your dik out the gates it seems like you're at a disadvantage.

Edit: I've also seen a lot of advice floating advice around that say going for the number/date after only a handful of messages is what works. Coincidently the only girls I've met up with were from convos that I let drag out for like a week. Not sure what the best approach is yet.

I feel like I got extremely lucky (once-off) with my ex. Was online dating for 2 days, messaged her, met her and was exclusive almost immediately. And trust me, she was pretty and had floods of incoming messages.

I only know his 1 ex and no I don't like her. He didn't either, me and him have very similar values and dating desires.

I'm still struggling on random days with the breakup tbh. It's been almost 3 months. Not sure if that's normal.

I'm getting ~1 match per day on dating apps. I've only messaged 2 of them so far.
- 1 date, I didn't want a second.
- 1 stopped responding to me randomly (no idea why).
I've alway had something similar happen, OP. Just try to completely forget about it. Things get better with time.
All my threads suck
