Well begrudgingly I'm impressed, so I will give my plastercine peeny a squeeze. Help me ooze some of that much needed testosterone bravado.

Just moved back in with my mom in the most MAGA town I've ever lived in to save up for my rental property business. Feels weird being surrounded by people who are most likely prejudiced but it is what it is I guess. Went to the gym for the first time today and there were a couple of thick cuties mirin. Don't know if it's the new gym mirrors or what but I'm starting to look decent in clothes. I actually looked lean as opposed to the fatswole look, it's a different story without the shirt though lmao. Currently cutting until October.. not really trying to reach a BF goal anymore, just wanna look good at 170-180.

I have not looked at stocks in a long long time (or the finance world) since college. You guys probably know this but I like to find patterns and probabilities of CEO turnovers, layoffs, mergers, acquisitions, indexes and IPOs when investing in stocks.

My sister used to be a CPA before she had kids and became a housewife. She loves numbers so she became a day trader at home looking at company's cash flows, P&L statements/earnings. She is really good at it too.

Also, you don't have to invest in stocks. You can bet against them.

Very wise to do your research beforehand for sure. Curious as to what betting against a stock is. Time to do some research

Derivatives, for example via a put option, which is when you purchase the right (but not the obligation) to sell something (for example a particular stock) for a specified price within a specified time frame.

That's one of those one-hit-kill skill shooters, right? They can be good, but the fun:rage ratio is just out of whack for me. I've got too much tunnel vision to be good at those.

The one I'll play sometimes play is Insurgency, the gameplay is somewhere between CS:GO and Arma. They'll it for like $2 during the Steam sale, so it's definitely worth a look. And if anyone on here plays it, PM me.

Interesting take....I'm always looking at the P/E ratios, eps ratios, inventory turnover, etc basically everything I learned in finance. The other day I was thinking about how much the CEOS of companies like Sears or TMobile totally changed the outlook of the company (btw if this merger with sprint goes through TMobile is going through the roof) and if it was even possible to predict the success/failure of a new CEO. I've always felt like there's no way to know that kind of stuff until after the fact.

Yeah I gotta start looking at VR and AI as well, it only makes sense. Looks like a pretty solid company, I have a couple of stocks in a similar company called IXYS hoping they can get back into it too, seems like the whole industry crashed last year. You got it bro...I can barely do HIIT at 80% of my full speed without damn near puking my last meal...can't imagine sprints. I just play basketball for a couple of hours about 3-4 times a week (no omegablaze) and call it a day

EDIT: Solid returns brah, would rep but im still on spread.

CNBC/Yahoo Finance will give you the basics, after that you can go deeper into the financial statements of companies you're interested in.

I worked for Tmobile for a few months after I got out of the Army as a call rep. Their CEO definitely turned that company around.

BOY WE OUTCHEA

Sidenote. Im playing PC games like a boss and my boy is like "hey man come out. Got a new job so Im celebrating". We are the local bar spot chillin. I know all the bartenders personally so I'm just having a standard convo with the female bartender. Group of girls come up. 3 white, 1 Indian/Pakistani chick. They ask what the best drink is. I tell them they should really try the XYZ its all the rage. They legit all looked at me in the corner of their eyes, didnt say a word, and kept talking to the bartender. Lost total control and I just started laughing. Not hysterically or anything but I was laughing pretty hard.

I'm not sure what has really "clicked" but I just feel better about all of this madness. Granted the physical needs are very much still there, but...I'm not as upset. The entire male/female dynamic now is just comical to me. Anyone else feel this way?

I doubt it's really comical and probably more of a coping mechanism (actual cope, not the misc cope) for why it doesn't make sense to you.

With 4 women standing there and you chiming in, there's no way you're so ugly that you scared them away or made them upset. Not possible, we've all seen your pictures. You're obviously doing something with your body language, tone, posture, etc to make chicks do this ****.

In before something to do with looks.

call it cope. and you say Im doing something wrong but I was there lol. What you want to believe or think doesnt change what happened. I'm grabbing lunch with the bartender tomorrow (friendzoned af doe) soIm not some social retarded that you think I am. I legit told them the berry lemonade was all the rage. Definitely gotta try it. I got no response, they leered at me, and then they looked right back the bartender. This 100% happened.8 years swiping and messaging?1 gf, 3 dates. work is a bitch, school year is almost over. teachers are exhausted, students are burnt out and im sitting here like fuk me. im going to grind it out.

started a grad program in a field opposite of what i did in undergrad. got ass fuked last night in class, didn't realize this class was going to be difficult (didn't take prereqs, prof and advisor let me in). too late to drop the class, going to have to find a way to win. just feels like chit when i can't participate in a classroom of 6 students because im playing catch up.

ran into a fwb i went NC on last night after class. ill be keeping NC, i wonder if she'll reach out. not sure how i'll proceed if she does. i cant have any distractions right now but getting some gushy would be great.

theres just something about dealing with bull**** and grinding it out.

The Paki/Indian chick had the worst reaction, but I've noticed that seems to be a thing wit hthem. Generally I just sit back and kinda watch everything unfold. Anyway. I've noticed alot of Indian/Pakistani, and East/South Asian women sucking up to white guys hardcore and snubbing black dudes and or dudes of their own background in the bar scene. (medical school here so there are a ton of asian wimmenz). But she just kinda semi looked and said nothing. One of the white girls glanced, had a semi blank stare, and then started talking back to the bartender.

That may have been a good idea, but meh. Kept talking to the guy next to me about self driving cars and commercial space flight.

Bruh, we've had this discussion but we'll have it again if you want.

Even if you were there, you're subjectively viewing the entire event. A fly on the wall who has no vested interest would be the best way to see how **** really unfolds. You could have your fly down and your dick hanging out for all you know in these situations and you don't see it because you're in your own body. I do this **** all the time and don't really account for the fact that I'm a muscular dude, etc so when I go up to random people and chat they have this obvious stereotypical reaction about douchebag muscular guys because of past experiences. You're black. Imagine how many black dudes have probably hit on these chicks in some rude way and now they have this auto response every time another black guy talks to them. What are your facial expressions as you're telling them about the new drink everyone likes. Where are your hands? What's your posture? What sort of voice do you have? Are you smiling? There's so many factors at play that go into arming/disarming groups of people in these situations.

Just the skin color thing alone is huge. My sister tells me about all the certain types of people that say horrible, awful rude things to her when she's using public transportation in the city to get to where she needs to go. It's gotten so bad she pays the toll fees and just drives instead. Certain skin color types have driven her away from using public transportation (srs) These things have a lasting impression on people so you're possibly battling against all that too. You could be walking right into the stereotype depending on how you talk to them and your entire body language makeup. You probably don't even know if you're doing it.

There are tons of options out there that you can mix and match for stocks. Just like Mr. Beer said, you can do a put option. Hedge funds are riskier and uses derivatives but it can give you high returns. I love the movie The Big Short (betting against the housing market). You can bet that the stock will go down a certain percentage or price instead of increasing. I used to have a spreadsheet that will calculate ROIs and other stats but I deleted it.

I've always felt like there's no way to know that kind of stuff until after the fact.
I understand that we cannot predict the success/failure of a new CEO but there is a pattern to a company's success or failure by looking at their history. I work for a company that uses lots of stats and probabilities so kind of have to have that mindset. Some private companies are very good at manipulating their cash flows. For instance, at my old company, it competed and won a billion dollar contract but it was not enough for potential investors to buy their stocks when they went public. So before they went public, they laid off a lot of employees to boost their cash flow but no one knew because it was still a private company. Cash flow increase, went public and stock price went way up high. Shareholders were happy. My old company also did the 2-for-1 split option so when it went public my shares doubled.

Also, tech stocks are good but there are other commodities that do very well. Back in the old days, I told my brother-in-law to buy Krispy Kreme Donuts before they went public and he was happy he did that (he sold the stocks already).

By the way, some females (not all) are not friendly. Did they ask the bartender the question or they asked you what is the best drink? Some women like to get an answer from the person they specifically asked and not from other people. They might not like random people jumping in to answer it.

I just had lunch with that bartender and she even brought up the cold shoulder of those women. I'm sorry your sister and other women are wary of black men due to thugged out/hood dudes trying to holler at the them. That has nothing to do with me and I legit do not care. Nothing about my language, clothing, or locations I hang out at all (this is a fairly preppy/young professional type place). Face? I was smiling. Hands? one hand was on my bourbon, and my other hand was pointing to the best rated drink on the menu. Body language stereotype? My walking stance isnt street or anything like that. I have on boots, chinos, and a collared shirt lol all semi fitted. There was no "aye guh what it is" or "yo lil mama wuz yo name" or what ever people are saying these days. And even with my professional appearance, maybe they just dont give a chit. I dont. Aware black men are honestly across the board at the bottom of the list for men women due to social pressure, racism, and etc. However they were just outright rude. If a person is polite to you, and then you are cold because of their appearance? You're an idiot.

"Hey there mr Otaku how are you?" - White Male that is conducting himself in a normal manner

This was my outfit essentially. Ditch the sweater, and change the shirt to a plaid white, purple, grey.

You are such a character. Constantly inventing new reasons out of thin air to rationalize why girls generally avoid me like the plague. And now Im magically a hood black dude that is scaring off black women with my voice and "body language" even though you know absolutely nada about me.

Course I do.

But I incorporate Stoicism in my daily life and allowing others to affect me in that manner is destructive more than anything.

Also if I trolled it wouldn't be malicious, but rather add levity towards the situation.

For all the talk about me making assumptions, you make more assumptions than anyone.

I brought up possible reasoning (along with rude being a possible reason) and reasons for why women can stereotype and then you throw in a snide comment (of course) about me inventing ****.

Things haven't worked out for you, that's obvious. I was trying to figure out why. In reality, you just want people to agree with your pre-made reasoning. That's not how real life works. You should have figured that out by now. Yep, women are rude as ****. YOU SHOULD HAVE CALLED THEM OUT. At least then they'd be on the spot to answer for how they were acting. But you didn't so you just assume whatever it is you assume for the reasons behind it.

As I said in my dating log, in many cases, I ask women after a date, when I know I'm not going to see them again, what it is that they didn't like. 95% of the time they're full of **** but I at least did my civic duty to ask and try to find out so I can improve myself. Sure, in reality it's probably that they're waiting for Thor to sweep them off their feet because attention seeking whores generally want that but I can at least see if I made some gestures they didn't like, if I have RBF (which I think I do) and all sorts of other things that I can't know about myself unless someone else tells me.

But hey, if you want a pat on the back, there's plenty of miscers to do that for you. I was just trying to put myself in in the situation so I could figure out what happened. But you do you fam.

I'm not sure what has really "clicked" but I just feel better about all of this madness. Granted the physical needs are very much still there, but...I'm not as upset. The entire male/female dynamic now is just comical to me. Anyone else feel this way?

Assumptions? No you prescribed features to me that flat out arent true. Call them out? Im not trying to argue with a group of random broads that already have shown how they are. Also why are you asking women what they didnt like? You just said they are full of chit. Women are almost never honest when they don't like a guy. So do you civic duty, but youre wasting your time. Theres not much to figure out. They looked at me and for whatever reason? They didnt want to talk to. And then when I went outside and sat with a buddy? Some late 30s white chick was near. Asked her about her dog, and she magically was a decent human being. I didnt switch anything up.
