I really appreciated his concern...made me feel like I was in good hands with him.

Granted, I'm not the type that likes waiting 2-3 days post date to contact...I prefer to keep the momentum going by either a text saying you got home safely, or the next day, a text saying you enjoyed yourself and would like to do it again. Some people are different, though, and prefer waiting. Don't really think there's a clear 'right or wrong' here, other than to make sure you don't *overdo* contact in the early days. Whichever way you choose to communicate, I always find it's best to keep things lighthearted and fun in the beginning, which means finding the balance between staying in touch but also maintaining independence.

True...better to peel away layers of each other like an onion, over time and not all at once. Allows for a much more organic process of getting to know one another, and doesn't force anything or fall into that 'whirlwind' trap, where things catch fire quickly but burn out even quicker. Always go for the slow burn

Are you engaging with her at all in convo or no?
This is why I like daisy. Maybe she is an anomoly. she gets that if I text her after the date/hooking, it doesnt mean I am needy. even If I text her something the next day that reminds me of her, it doesnt appear needy. of course, I am NOT going to send her 100 texts the next day. thats overkill. all I want is a girl that does not get turned off by me sending a few texts the next day or even calling her up, telling her I had a great time, and then setting the next date. That's what I do, I make plans ahead of time.

$50 for drinks for a 1/2 hour sounds crazy. I assumed the bill was like $20.

But it sounded like if you didn't say anything to her after she said she was tired, then you could have avoided an argument. My $.02
in my mind the attraction vanished the second she saw me. How does a girl go from you phukking her all night and calling you pet names/cuddling you/acting submissive to suddenly acting like she just met you for the first time again? it was extremely incongruent. It was like she was a different person than most of the day that we first met. so I thought it was over by then and had nothing to lose.

Of course, pondus' theory was that it was all a giant chit test. I still take his opinion with a grain of salt, but I am willing to try his advice since mine is not working and he has more experience than I do.

A lot of girls don't like that sort of behavior (like pre-boyfriend sort of stuff if that makes sense) because they fear commitment due to the immense amount of options they have. Not all, but most. The key to all game is making her want you badly. It's a slow process.

that's downright phukking sad if you ask me.

and then they do stupid chit, on top of that, like to phuck guys on the first date unprotected. the girl this past weekend came across initially as very educated/attractive/good future ahead of her, then she gets wasted, takes me back and try to sex me (First) without protection or asking any questions about my past/etc. of course I brought some. she is putting herself at huge risk for stuff. and she was in a similar major as I was..she knows the consequences of STIs (some last forever), so why did she stop and asked if I had any before?

Ya, I think part of why I look for a guy who shows concern for my well being is because my dad and my grandpa, whom I'm very close with, always emphasized safety whenever we were out. They are very protective types, so I subconsciously seek out a guy who is going to be concerned with my welfare and who makes me feel cared for. I'm sure there are plenty of women who would find that to be a turn off, or an insult to their 'independence'...but I have always been drawn to the guys that demonstrate a caring streak.
*Now that I think about it, that could be a result of my biological, evolutionary instincts telling me that he'd make a good father? Even if I'm not actively thinking of him as a longterm partner or even having kids in the near future, it could very well be a factor of why I like someone. Subconsciously seeking out promising mating traits...who knows lol

Yes, I'd agree that unless she knows immediately after the 1st date that she's into you, it can be a bit much and definitely scare people off...I wouldn't necessarily suggest a phone call the day after either; better to keep plans to texting that early on. Keep in mind that my situation is a bit of an exception, so I wouldn't use it as a standard measuring tool. Prob better to play it safe and tone it down until mutual interest has been established.
Also, you always have to gauge the situation on a case by case basis. What worked with one girl may not work with another. You have to feel out the individual you're getting to know, and adapt to what communication style resonates best with her. That's why it's good to listen to Vick when he says to take it slow...gives you time to figure out what approach works best and with who.

Rule 1: Do not treat her like a G/F until she IS your girlfriend no matter what she does or says.

Also, why did you want another date with her? She sounds like a hoe.

This is the purpose of not texting her the next day, so she wonders about you. If she likes you, subconscious attraction is at play. The patience pays off brahs, trust me.

Yeah, yeah we all want women to be like Daisy but truth is they are slim to none so you can forget about being genuine in this sense. And for the record, if you connected with a girl like Daisy, she'd be in the bag the same way even if she prefers next day contact. Except she might think your interest in her is low and this will make her step up her game

Miss don't tell me what to do told ME to text her when I get home on date 3 lol. Very sweet, it did touch me for sure. Like she did to me, I would bust this after a few dates so she doesn't know she has me after the first date.

Looking back on my hookup days, it's absolutely mind blowing the amount of chicks that have no issues with taking a random guys raw dick in her no questions asked. Like 1/20 chicks might ask if you have a condom.
The trouble with being punctual is that nobody's there to appreciate it.

See bro, you are not quite there yet. You think that daisy is different than other women. She's not. (no offense daisy) When you get your game down, every woman will be like a "daisy" to you.

I guess, what I haven't made clear enough yet, is that you are constantly being tested. If your value is not rising, its falling. There is no in between, but if you ever find yourself in a situation where you are a bit confused, flustered, or in disagreement, TAKE NOTICE! This is the gift she is giving you to use to your advantage to raise your value (and/or lower hers, by knocking her off her pedestal). I WILL REPEAT, women WANT to perveive you as having higher value than them. THAT is what keeps them interested.

Question: If you think she may be playfully attacking your intelligence, does it raise or lower your value to tell her you got straights A's, was valedictorian, and an IQ of 140?

I wouldnt even mention it, just saying something back handed back. maybe tickle her, something silly. because she is being silly. kind of like your bratty little sister? I dunno.

I would say it would lower my value because it is me trying to prove myself to her. now if we were in a relationship for 6 months and she asked in a serious matter, I would tell her.

Good. Exactly right. You raise your value by making her prove her value to you, not the other way around. The moment you've "defended" your value, you actually just lowered it.

Now, if you are having a general discussion about scholarly achievements, then stating you were valedictorian , etc, would raise your value.

Correct, I recognize my value and I won't submit to 'modern dating' trends because I don't like them for several reasons. Thanks for understanding my argument. There's a subtle level of pandering going on here with guys whose only goal is to maximize attraction of the woman towards them.

I can admit that my strategy may not, on average, maximize attraction levels; just like strategically going NC for periods could also maximize attraction. But I will date on my terms, and if she doesn't recognize how messed up the modern dating scene is, then I don't wanna continue dating her anyway.

Probably ruined my relationship last night, I escalated a nothing argument into something bigger for no reason. We'll see what happens, been texting her but no response.

hoping she dumps me and just gets it over with. I love this girl but its gotta happen sooner or latter, if its sooner at least I wont be so goddamn stressed. I'm not fit for a relationship

If that's really how you feel, you need to dump her. Why does she need to dump you first?

Idk, I want to stay together and I really love her, I just know she's going to dump me at some point anyway so kind of want to get it over with if that makes sense. If not now, 3 months from now or whatever its going to hurt the same.

Yep, I get it, and I think it is sad. If you always feel this way, then just end it. You are not giving it 100% and it is not fair to her. If you are just feeling this way now because you ****ed up, then fix it.

If a woman ever told me she expects it to end at some point. I'd dump her right on the spot because I know she will never give me her all and she will end up just sabotaging the relationship.

What it comes down to is low self-esteem and what you are going to end up doing is constantly test her to see if she really does want to be with you. (If you are not already doing it.) This will push her away. Self fulfilling prophecy, bro.

No, you can never guarantee it will last, but it's definitely not going to last with that attitude, so why waste her youth when she can find someone that is actually worthy of her time?

I am at a funeral currently (which is why I haven't responded to your text yet) but I've told you in the past that you are thinking too much about the end and letting it dictate your mood and your actions. Before getting into another relationship, you need to master yourself and your emotions.

Well don't keep texting incessantly. If you made a mistake, admit fault and apologize and leave it at that. Except we all know that this doesn't mean sh*t - some time will pass and her mood will change.

Strong sabotage, but probably for the best. You clearly have esteem issues. I'd suggest you set some life goals for yourself and achieve them to derive some fulfillment and value.

Have you ever seen a therapist regarding your issues with commitment, trust and self esteem?
The trouble with being punctual is that nobody's there to appreciate it.

He needs to, I tell him all the time. However he doesn't see any value in it from the conversations we have had.

I told him two weeks ago he was sabotaging himself when he explained his thoughts and he needs to stay in control. A lesson learned. Hopefully he can face them and fight them since he's a good dude.

Just a quick update on me: Last night I heard from a girl I've known for years who I always suspected has wanted me. She told me as much last summer when we would hang out here and there however she just... isn't it for me. She's beautiful, tall, fit, educated, looks great. It's just something about her personality I don't like. Anyway, she hit me up last night with an inside joke between us. I didn't really give her too much.

K also hit me up last night. I kept it brief and ignored a text she had sent me an hour or so later after I ended our conversation.

I saw Girl 7 (B) at the gym today. She looked at me and smiled. I didn't really pay her any mind. I left shortly after seeing her. I'm expecting a text or contact from her later tonight which I will either respond with "who is this" or just no response, haven't decided yet.

It's funny how when you slowly stop caring completely then this sort of thing happens. Also laid my aunt to rest today. She was very old so we knew it was going to happen. The story surrounding her and her death sort of is pulling that part of my family apart from me because they handled it in an extremely sloppy way. Basically they had her in hospice since fuucking May for physical therapy (she fell and broke her shoulder.) Her daughter, who is my aunt, decided to not get her the therapy she needed and instead just kept her in hospice to rot until death. My aunt was fully aware, had all her "marbles" so to speak, and was aware of what her daughter was doing to her. She finally died and now my aunt can leave the area we are in and get her inheritance, two things she has wanted for quite a while.

It makes me sick and none of the other men in my family were man enough to tell her off about it. So I did. She ought to pay for what she did. My grandma is of course very close to my aunt and her death and the situation surrounding it really made my grandma sad. I am really hoping that they pay for what they did somehow, someway. She ought to pay for it.

J, I hoe you are alright bud.
