What’s the longest distance you would date?

I live in a weird location where there’s 8 miles of sea that separates me and a huge city so whenever I’m on dating apps of course I’m going to search outside of 8 miles but quite often I get girls from across the sea. Unfortunately if you want to get there it takes over an hour depending on traffic. Could a relationship be maintained given there is an hour at the absolute bare minimum distance?

it depends what you think she's worth. I wouldn't mind driving 45min a few times a week for a girl i was into - but that's also because i kind of like driving, especially at night.

i'd probably also do an hour in your case, again if i thought she was worth it. what else are you gonna be doing at home.

if you want to feel productive, take a podcast/learn a language in the car - then you won't feel like it's time wasted.

I hate driving, especially at night. It would probably throw my gym routine off a bit where I’m having to go different days instead and I’d have to be up for work earlier the next day if I stayed over there or something. Am I just being a bit too picky with the way I’m acting over this?

Supposed to be meeting up with some girl over the next couple of weeks that lives an hour away and I wouldn’t want to waste my time going up there if in the long run it’s not actually feasible.

All of that being said I suppose it comes down to how much she may be worth to me.

I'd try it for a few weeks at least. See if you like her enough

Surely she can drive down sometimes as well

It might not work with this girl but I use it as an example because it happens quite often where I just kind of write them off if they’re too far but maybe I should try at least, then I can figure out whether it’s something that could work in the long run.

Doing 100 miles now but she comes to mine a lot. Big plus is she lives close to an area I love. Winter driving will be tough but I get a lot of vacation time. So we get a lot of 4 day weekends. She's beautiful, got a great job, very motivated, and takes excellent care of herself. Working two real jobs with 2 side hustles and has 2 masters degrees. Makes me feel like a bum because my life is pretty chill.

My definition of of long distance is if you have to hop on a plane to see them, gtfo here w/ 45min car drive lol

I did long distance once and would NEVER do it again. My limit is 30 miles max, and he would have to come to me initially. If you’re a man and don’t mind driving you can probably do this range. Depends if you’re in a big city or not as well, traffic can be a bish.

Unless one of y’all can drop everything move closer together but most people can’t and don’t make that commitment until marriage so not worth it imo.

If I’m in love the distance is irrelevant, I have to follow my heart (no homo) (srs).
If I’m not in love and it’s just someone to date with the potential to fall in love, I would say MAX 45 mins each way.

I did 3 hours when I was younger.

Now that I have a kid I would never do long distance. Maybe 45 min drive max.

Seems for the most part an hour is kinda the average people would look at taking seriously.

Supposed to be meeting up in a week or two if we’re still speaking by then. We’ve been messaging for about a month now literally one message every day or two, feels weird to be going to meet someone considering how little we’ve spoke in a sense. Usually text quite a lot prior to meeting chicks. First time meeting up with a new girl since like July, feels like a lifetime lol
