got left on read and then she texts asking for tips on my area

cliffs:
-used to work with a girl (who i met once, i just remember her - and she remembered me)
-saw her randomly after about 1yr
-we chat and i get her no.
-text only a few times, and convo dies before i actually manage to ask her out

-last time she texted me was just saying whats up basically, I say xyz, she gives super short replies then I ask how it's going with her - and she doesn't respond

-That was about 3 weeks ago. Suddenly just now texts me out the blue asking 'whats the nicest places to go in (my area)'

on one hand, I feel like she wouldn't need to ask me this - she could just use google. I have no idea why she is messaging me, if not for hoping i'd ask her out or suggest taking her somewhere.

But then again, she has been really cold in her replies to me before, then left me on read - so she can't be interested in me.

I normally assume the sale in cases like this, and just assume they are interested and want me to ask them out.

But in this case I really don't feel suggesting to go out with her anymore, when she is being like this. I feel its kinda disrespectful from her side.

Also, it's not like we spoke back and forth for ages and it got boring, we literally had maybe 2 text exchanges, that was it. I wanted to at least build a baseline level of rapport, because i hadn't seen this girl in years so was kinda weird to go straight for the meetup. I see some text convos posted on her of people chatting for ages - it wasn't like that.

I mean, I did want to before- but I'm not really prepared to do that given how she's acting now. I think I showed initiative in getting her no. to begin with

If a girl shows lack of interest why should I pursue her, is my view

So I guess that's the point of this thread. Is this lack of interest. My gut says yes so probably is

Also, she sent the text message without even saying hi or anything (after weeks of radio silence) just bam straight into asking for tips.. just rude imo

I hear you. I have been sort of dating a girl for 4 months ( well actually not sure if it will continue or not so you know the type )
I have felt this way after being left on unread etc by her that " why would i ever be nice to you again after disrespecting me"
But i learned don't be all up on some ethics / morals bs. Yeah , some sloots will dik you around get used to it and don't change who you are over it.

Although i don't like her behavior when not in person , i've learnt not to take it so personal and if i cut her out over it i'd just be cucking myself out of the possibility of getting laid again by her which is the most important thing to me.

I see you didn't read my entire reply. "You never know who knows who". It's a small world. It has nothing to do with impressing her or being a simp. It's called being a decent person, read: not petty, butthurt, etc

@OP obviously she doesn't care how she comes off, or doesn't have the self awareness to realize it. Are you going to reduce yourself to her level? If you're cool with that, by all means. I'm all for the "give as much as you get" mentality but it's not like she fuked you over or led you on. If you're worried about seeming like a simp, just send her some links to a few spots without any invite or further embellishment.
