How long have you been single?

I was on and off relationship for 10 years and I just ended it last year. Honestly, I wouldn't even count my last one as a relationship. If I am being honest, I've been single for almost 11 years now. I've dated here and there , the emotional attraction for the most part of the people I dated is there but not physically.

When was your last relationship?

You're on a forum dominated by men, so I would guess a majority have the opposite experience as you. Physical attraction as opposed to emotional. I know that's not helpful. Last "relationship" by title was 1.5 years ago, basically when COVID hit. Physical intimacy died due to her profession, RN, and isolation by her choice. Sorry, but I need to see you and touch you to be in a relationship. Most recent girl stated "we're dating right?" after about 4 weeks and a weekend getaway of repeated physical intimacy. Titles aren't my thing, they are words that hold no legally bounding obligation so they basically hold no meaning or value to me. We're adults, we can have an understanding that we're not sleeping around, which she has not asked about but there doesn't need to be a title that secures that. Sounds bad, but I guess I'm dating her?

In short, I guess technically 1.5 years ago. I'm sure this wasn't helpful so I digress.

Several years; I lost count. Met women, hung out, went on dates, and so forth. A lot of people in the dating market really have no business trying to date anyone; a lot of people need to sort their chit out and get rid of some baggage first.

Too many bad apples
I have high standards apparently
Relationship drama is no bueno for me... at all. I rarely get worked up over anything unless it's serious (despite my online persona, lol) and it's almost impossible to meet a woman who is chill as well
I do meet women with great potential, women I would love to date, but they aren't interested. The last woman was one of those career types who wants to wait until she's 40 to settle down and start a family. Huh.
Also I don't put myself out there as much as I really should

About 5 years since my ex.

I spent 4 of those years trying to get a decent job and move out because I couldn't comfortably date without having my own place.

Around 2021 my growth paid off. This year I started getting interest and dates, but honestly by the time I started having dates I was kind of jaded and didn't enjoy myself anyway.

So I'm still single until I feel like getting back out there, but I have my own inner work to deal with first, srs.

Longest I ever went was like a 5yr stretch right after I had gotten out of a extremely $hitty LTR...

And I must say it was not only needed but holy $hit was it nice just going & doing as I pleased. Dating whoever I wanted when I wanted which basically means it was a pretty standard bump & dump. I basically man whored my way through 3+ years until that particular part of being single completely lost its appeal to me. And that was when I started my "Unicorn List" of what it would take for me to consider settling down into a real relationship again. Of course I had a couple solid FWB still lingering and thats all they wanted so it was a perfect situation.

But truth be told as I was compiling this list I honestly didnt think there was one single person out there that would ever be able to meet all of my demands... I was wrong...Just have to be patient , know what you are realistically after , & dont settle for some ganga that is a 4.5 face to face but a 8.5 when she gets naked on all fours... you're gonna eventually have a bad time

I’ve been single for 8-10 years and I expect to go another 2 years or so to consider dating or marriage.

For me it’s different because my life got fuked up right after my LTR ended from health issues from surgeries that went wrong. At same time I got robbed by my business partner. I lost everything. When you lose everything it kills your confidence.

I have women hit me up when I’m out doing stuff. I even had one girl in store ask for my number as she passed me, but my confidence is so low from health and financial issues I just ignored her. I have too much honor to put a women over my duties as a man and pretend everything is cool when it’s not.

Starting a new business and staying in shape, if I had a women I would have no time to fix my chit. I enjoy monk mode and anytime I get desires I just refocus on my business and making bank. Such is life. Women wait at the finish line.

29 years old now. I've never dated or been in a relationship. But I think it's about time I find a girl to settle down with.
