Q: What is this place!?
It is a forum re-populated with some of the public user content from forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com. Specifically, the public user content from the Misc. forum. This forum is a greenfield project written from scratch, and contains no code or assets from forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com or any other part of bodybuilding.com.

Q: Misc. was completely meaningless forum filled with spammers, trolls and inappropriate content. Why try to preserve it?

The Misc. forum at the end suffered from poor moderation and frequent technical issues. Still, far from all new content was inappropriate. Any content that are against the Forum Rules will be removed.

Q: If you are starting from scratch, why don't you just make a modern design?
The presentation layer was deliberately made to look "old" but the site runs on modern technology and recommended practices. This sie has enhanced mobile and tablet experience compared to similar forums and have the plumbing in place to implement advanced search functionality.

Q: Are you using vBulletin?
No.

Q: I want to register / Can I log in?
Yes. The forum is open for registrations. Please prepare by reading our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Forum Rules.

Q: Can I register and get my old username back?
Yes, registrations are now open and if verified you can recover your old username.

Q: Can I request removal of my data?
Yes. Register and enter your old username. Once you have been verified, you will be able to request remove from the user control panel.

Q: I am looking for a specific thread, do you have it?
If it is from the last years the odds are favourable. Implementing search capabilites is a high priority.

Q: Do you have archived threads?
Sadly no. If the thread was unreachable due to archiving the chances that we have it is closed to zero.

Q: Why do some threads appear in the wrong sections?
This is a result of how the threads were archived. The data for proper categorization exists but hasn't been implemented yet. This will be fixed in a future update.

Q: Why do some threads only have one or two posts? I am sure that they contained more posts
This issue affects threads roughly between March to July of 2024, due to limitations in the archiving process. Fortunately, the vast majority of threads are unaffected.

Q: Do you have a dark mode?
Yes, scroll to the bottom and click on the select box in the lower left corner. The dark mode is called "davik", named after a gloomy forum user.

Q: Is there a reputation system?
Yes!
