I honestly do, I’m going to watch it tonight after The UFC fights.

Pacino is great in the role, the movie itself I wouldnt call "great" personally. But it's not bad either. Mainly worth watching for Pacino's portrayal.

You know, Tony’s rise to power was only 3 years. Then, it started going downhill fast.
The “game” isn’t all rainbows and sunshine. There’s a lot of misery in the game from both sides.

It's the best of that style but if I'm being honest I've never found those mobster/drug lord movies all that appealing. Stuff like the Godfather, Goodfellas, Casino, Scarface... they all feel like the same movie to me. I do think Scarface is the most appealing of the bunch though.

I'm right with you on that, my friend. Not bad movies objectively, but the whole mobster/gangster schick just seems corny to me. Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't instantly nut himself over a stereotypical Italian man with a gun in hand and a briefcase full of cocaine.

Good, not great. I think people rate it a little too highly (srs). It can't hold a candle to any of the Italian mob movies in that same genre. Pacino was also better at playing a Latino gangster in Carlito's Way. I'm sure that's a controversial opinion.

I first saw it in my early 20s

Before I saw it I had heard it hyped all the time especially by rappers and thug culture so I was expecting it to be overrated but was surprised I thought it was really good. Some parts are kind of corny or show their age but I like it
