What are your thoughts on the band foreigner and journey?

I love foreigner.

I always got it playing in my car and me singing to it when im driving.

Why do they get hated on for being "corporate rock"?

Foreigner is alright. Not a fan but there’s a few songs I like.

Liked early Foreigner.. Turned ghey with "Juke Box Hero" bullshit. Early Journey was good too, but then got too commercial for me.
(I'm a metal-head, but I did like good classic rock like those bands early stuff).

Like REO Speedwagon, early shit was great, then turned GHEY.. Give me Slayer, Maiden, Priest, Hatchet, Rory, Lizzy, UFO, etc...

Journey was better before Steve Perry and Jonathan Cain.

Well, to be fair, the first couple were pretty good with Perry but once Cain came in it turned too cheesy

Have you ever seen them live?

I only made this thread because a co worker mentioned theyre performing in NJ here soon.

Is this worth going too or are they top old?

Ever been to these venues? I didnt like prudential center tbh...I rather outdoors and smaller venue.

I don't think I've seen them live. I would go see them. I'm sure it would be fun. I've been to Camden many many many times. It's a good venue. Driving there sucks but the venue is good.

I like foreigner more than journey, "Double Vision" is the reason why. also because "Don't stop believin" was extremely overplayed on the rock/oldies stations before. and foreigner barely gets any radio play from local stations anymore.
