As if everything else isn't marked up too. Try going to the farmer's market for fresh fruit and veggies, or buying organic grass fed beef anywhere especially from a local butcher. That stuff is also way more expensive and still going up, and it's usually more expensive than the slop.

Also there's nothing wrong with chips every now and then as long as it's in moderation. I eat plain potato chips though that Doritos stuff I never got into that.

Not saying that advising to eat healthier is a bad thing; it's just not a solution to the problem that OP is raising.
