Last night I got arrested for a DUI. At the station they breathalyzed me and blew under so they let me go
Last night I was driving home from the bars. I get stopped by the State Troopers. They said they smelled alcohol off me and made me do a field sobriety test and I failed so they arrested me. First time being arrested. I was brought back to the station. I was placed in a jail cell but it took them like an hour to get me to an actual breathalyzer and I blew just under .078 (legal limit of .08). As the State Trooper is letting me out of jail he says "Lucky bastard your BAC probably went just under from the time we arrested you to the actual test. Take this as a life lesson and don't drink and drive".
Still shook I have to pay $275 to the towing company to get my car back but I avoided disaster

Not true.
If you blow over a .02 they would have given you a lesser charge. You can still get charged between .02 and .08 depending on the driving so it it would depend on what you got pulled over for.
Also, never participate in the field sobriety tests.
Legally, not participating cannot be used as evidence of crime. Due to psychological concepts like confirmation bias (they have already decided you are drunk), they will find evidence of you being drunk during FST.
DO NOT TAKE FST, THEY LITERALLY CANT DO ANYTHING TO YOU FOR REFUSING. THEY CANNOT LEGALLY COMPEL YOU TO. THEY WILL ONLY BE USED AGAINST YOU.
but this didn’t happen.

This reminds me of one time I got stalked but was def drunk and I pulled down an apt driveway and just pretty much walked away from my car. I quit drinking in 2006 though... But yeah used to drive drunk on a bottle of Bacardi Rum to the night clubs all the time from 2002 till 2006. Was alot of fun.

However, your chances fighting it in court go up exponentially if you know and evoke your civil liberties.
Do not help them. Don’t interfere with their investigation, but do not help them do it. Make sure you understand, legally, what “interference” and “obstruction” are. We do have some freedoms guys. It is wonderful.

The reason civil rights exist is because the government knows the population is too cucked to use it lol.

.78 , looks like you dodged a bullet OP . Just think , maybe if they gave you the breathalyzer an hour sooner you would have been .08
Ded srs , in the 90’s I put .08 on my KX250 lol. I bought an extra digit so I could cut it to make decimal points

There has never ever been a warrant issued that compelled someone to take the FST.
The warrant was likely a search warrant for his blood.

Okay OP, here's what to do.
Don't agree to a field sobriety test, instead ask to "blow into his tube."
When he reaches for a breathalyzer, say "no, your other tube big boy" and wink. Then get on your knees and suck him off.
Might sound extreme but fighting a DUI in court is expensive. Plus another shot or two of vodka when you're done takes the taste away pretty effectively.

Here's what you do. Don't be a piece of shit and drink and drive.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

even if you broke the law, chances are that your case could get thrown out if you have evidence of their mistakes. you should always record any interactions with police.
also, the police are legally allowed to lie to you. it's called the Reid Technique. it's a manipulation tactic to get people to confess. they can lie and claim they have some kind of evidence, when in reality they probably have no evidence at all.
if you have any interaction with police, always assume that they are lying through their teeth. don't even make small talk with police - there is no benefit to speaking with them. anything you say can be used against you.
literally just keep quiet and invoke your right to counsel. quietly observe their actions, notice any mistakes they make, and gather as much evidence as possible.
