It's wild how controlled people are by money

Something that's completely made up

Designated with an arbitrary value based on pure fantasy

People will work 40+ hours a week to acquire it

Trading every hour of their life at work for what their employer deems each hour of their life is worth to pay them to show up to work

Which accumulates to weeks, months, years, and decades of life that's traded to acquire said money

People who have lots of it feel as if that validates "success" and their worth as a human

People who don't have enough yearn for more

People will treat you based on how much of it you have:

Rich guy is respected and has power/authority, which increases with his wealth

Poor guy is disregarded and unimportant, including if that poor guy was once rich

People will literally kill for it

On its own it has no value objectively

1 bottle of water to a man dying of thirst in the desert is worth more than 1 billion dollars in that situation
