There’s not much I can eat fast food wise with diabetes , so I go to Opa quite often . I do two skewers , lamb and chicken , plus the Greek salad .
I took over half of the salad home as it’s way too much . I’ll eat it tonight with my steak .
I don’t see this as a bad dietary meal , but tbh I’m not losing weight . I think I need to make home made soups and eat at home often.

Question . Does anyone eat anything that has stevia in it ? I’ve been eating frozen yogurt that the lady makes with Stevie so I don’t raise my blood sugar , but I’ve been getting a really bad bleeding nose 4 days in a row now , and the only thing I’ve changed is I’ve been eating that Greek yogurt daily for a treat.
Just wondering if anyone has issues with that sweetener , or if it’s just a coincidence?
I didn’t have any yesterday , and I also didn’t have a nose bleed . But I also quit taking my blood thinners yesterday, so dunno

Lots left for supper

Looks British.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Is that tzatziki in the cup or dressing? I love pork or really any type of souvlaki with tzatziki. Greek/mediterranean food is some of the healthiest you can eat

If this was 6 months ago I would be criticizing you for the lack of beers, but considering the circumstances now I'd say it's totally understandable.

It’s not . I’m still stuck at 247.5 .I'm going to go to Opa less often , as I found this health food place that has a restaurant on the side , and they make really healthy soups. The owner has type 2 and is kind of mentoring me . Super nice lady .
As soon as I get my projects done and my kitchen in order I’ll be making my own soups

Yes they give you two tzatziki sauces but I just use one . It kind of sucks if you don’t use it , as the meat seems mundane without it. Prior to diabetes I used to have the wrap , but apparently gluten /bread is bad carb wise and peaks blood sugar so I’m staying away from it

Ya that part really sucks . Actually it’s the only thing I miss . I guess you can have two beers once in a while but if I’m not getting rinsed then why fking bother srs

Yeah. It's one thing if you were getting hammered everyday and actually had a legit addiction problem, I would steer clear of that. But in your case, you take so much time off between getting rinsed so your not physically addicted. You should be able to have a couple beers every now and then. Even if its just Kambucha. Life is too short. You still deserve to enjoy yourself. This is of course if your doctor didn't flat out say "any amount of drinking from here on out will kill you" or if you have cirrohsis.
