I wonder how many grafts he’s had so far after two transplants. I’m guessing since he went to an American doctor maybe 2500 transplant number 1 and 2500 for number 2.

American doctors are much more conservative. A Turkish doctor would have jammed all 5k grafts at once.

Is there a reason to be more conservative?

He can start calling himself foll short for follicular like Clav.

1. Limited blood supply especially to the crown, grafts need blood supply in order to survive. More grafts = more competition for blood supply and a higher risk that grafts don’t survive.

2. Preserving the donor area. You have limited amounts of grafts, maybe like 8-10k total. You want to preserve those grafts for future transplants because how you bald isn’t known. This is important if your hair loss isn’t stabilized with meds.

I personally think these reasons are dog shit especially number 2 because no one should be getting a transplant unless they have stabilized their hair loss using meds.

And for number 1 I’m not even sure if that’s backed with any sort of research.

Damn. Sounds exhausting. You think by now they'd be able to clone hair follicles, see wouldn't have to use donors anymore. It's probably possible, but just really, really expensive

There are only like 2 doctors in the entire world that can do mega sessions - which is like 10k plus grafts in 1 session for almost slick bald guys.
