perhaps neither is better than the other.

the majority of workin' dads slave away at work, have little/no authority at home and their needs always come after the kids (rightfully) and wife. they have to attend all the events the wife wants to go to...constantly be criticized for every little thing that isn't "good enough"...be involved in maintaining wifey's social media image, etc.

then on top of that there's everything else in life that everyone else has. plus a wife that gets older and even more critical as looks fade. he can't complain either because "be a man" means he needs to be stoic/stable like nothing bothers him.
