It's weird how no entrepreneur has re-opened 24 hour grocery stores since COVID ended

They went away during COVID and never returned

It's surprising that no entrepreneur has brought them back

Make it all self-checkout kiosks from say 10 PM until 7 AM with 1 employee and a security guard during that time to limit expenses

It seems like everything closes earlier now too.

In Wisconsin and Illinois there's a large grocery store, bigger than walmart tbh, called Woodman's that's still open 24/7. In Arizona there's Winco that's also 24/7. That's all I'm aware of, most of the country doesn't have 24/7 large grocery stores anymore.

I used to shop at walmart all the time at 2 am, as a night owl I miss the convince of that.

Covid took people down a couple of notches psychologically and they never came back from that, most aren't even aware of it.

I miss being able to shop at like 0200-0300. Something about it was always quite fun. The latest supermarkets seem to close thse days is 0000. There's probably some marketing data to show that their profits weren't impacted significantly by the reduced hours, but it's still a shame.

This. Regardless of what you think of Covid, vaccinations, whatever, is irrelevant. The moral damage to society's psyche has never been undone or healed.

because if you highlight ANY text and then click the reply button, it puts that into a quote, so you can quote only certain parts of someone's text.

Kinda handy.

Just make sure you arent highlighting anything accidentally.
