This. Growing up in NY living in the NYC burbs, it was always fun making fun of Jersey. But honestly, some areas tucked away in Bergen County (outside of their astronomical taxes) aren't bad at all and have great neighborhoods. Staying away from the very northeast (i.e. Elizabeth, Newark, etc.) and the Trenton areas, most of Jersey is horse country, farm land, etc. Not a ton there to do, but pretty nice for the majority. Stark contrast from the armpit of NYC.
