If you truly believe there's no afterlife then it's impossible to logically also believe your like has meaning

If you truly believe it and not just saying there's no afterlife to be edgy

Most people have about 70-80 years on this earth

That's 7-8 decades total

A decade ago was 2016

So 7-8 of those timelines makes an entire lifetime for most people

If after that it just ends and you forever disappear into an abyss of nothingness for eternity, then whatever you did or didn't accomplish won't matter at all in those insignificant 70-80 years when you consider the vast amount of time in the grand scheme of things

Its not worth worrying about.

I don't necessarily believe in some kinda payoff for living a good life in the next.

I do believe people should be good to each other, karma essentially.

I probably wouldn't believe in heaven or hell, more like a PC being shut down.

It's a brutal realization that life is very short and we're past half way. The second half will go a lot faster and will be a lot less great

Everyone desperately wants there to be an afterlife but nobody truly believes in it. This is the human condition

Your authentic self is hidden until you truly accept your mortality
