Wash Your Produce

I just saw a Haitian employee in Publix stocking the plums or peaches and I saw him blow on a plum/peach hard to blow the dust or dirt off it and then set it on the shelf.

Plus the pickers are shitting and pissing in the fields .

You know the bottom of the red onions where its a scraggly tangle of fibrous roots? I noticed they were moving on one, looked closer and they were fruit fly larva. Called over an employee, in hushed tone pointed it out and left. Not their fault really, but double check out there boyos.

Gross. I buy quality frozen asparagus because I don't have to worry about this and it lasts long in freezer without rotting. Tastes great too because flash frozen in the field.

Always been skeptical about that claim and the claim that it retained nutrients to 99% of unfrozen.

Frozen is actually better and more nutrient than fresh because fresh degrades almost immediately after being picked. Stay away from cans and jars tho.
