Why are there so many passive-aggressive, sensitive people in the Corp world?

I have to reach out to certain people to verify some things. I don’t want to talk to them either and we don’t particularly like each other but this is just a job. I don’t give two shits about you as a person and just want to keep it professional.

But there are lots of passive aggressive people, men who are overly sensitive about stuff and act like high school cliques, and I still haven’t gotten a reply to my email.

They don’t trust themselves because they know they are larping.

Everything about that environment is fake as fuck. No one is authentic. That shit wears on a person.

Last time i was in corporate was 9 years ago

The other day I was reminded why I decided to leave. I was in the zumba/dance studio at the gym doing my stretches. Decided to go no headphones. There was this one sloot and gay dude gossiping loud asf. Then one middle aged white sloot comes over on her phone and starts talking real fkn loud near them. Doubt she was talking to anyone. You cant convince me these ppl are real

I appreciate the clarification that this is strictly professional and that personal feelings are not involved. That was certainly communicated clearly.

I agree that we should keep the focus on the work, which is why I’ll continue waiting for a substantive response to the actual email. Once that is available, we can proceed accordingly.

In the meantime, I’ll do my best not to mistake the unrelated commentary about sensitivity, cliques, and interpersonal dynamics for anything other than a general workplace observation.

Muscle memory. AI would have softened it, added unnecessary bullet points, and ended by offering to help improve workplace communication. Mine just answered the email.

Is there anything else I can help you understand, or can I get back to important things?

It's so pathetic, have seen it numerous times. Asking someone if they finished something and they get all defensive like a fucking kid.
