He says that a real man would never marry a woman who has been married before. My wife was married before. Inverse feeling of smugmess increases

I told her a few times about my deep regrets of marrying her and she said well if you feel that way we can call the family elders and dissolve the marriage, I don't want to keep you prisoner, your wellbeing counts

and that response is like a masterful reverse psychology move or something because somehow it was very reassuring and I didn't do jack shit
