I don't use white bread? I go to Publix for their freshly baked bread daily.

And I enjoy multiple different cheeses. My favorite is butterkase.

Yes, because we all eat Wonderbread and there are no actual bakers in the US. Also, there's only a single manufacturer of chocolate in the entire US, and it's Hershey.

You say that as if there are no places in America that sell traditional breads and cheeses. Pretty much every grocery store sells wheel cheese and traditional breads, but they also sell the cheap stuff, and because its cheap its the more popular item.

dat feel when Abendbrot with Oman und Opa when I was a kid.

but my mother and father barely ever ate Abendbrot, so when I see a collection of breads like in the OP I think of Oma and Opa who sadly have both passed away. Thanks for the memories OP, repped.

Most American' supermarkets have a bit of the first fresh baked bread in the Deli area. People buy the mass manufactured slice kind because its so damn easy/fast/convenient to make toast/sandwiches with it.
