It's funny, hundreds of thousands of US soliders have died freeing other countries

Saving France from the Nazis in WW II. South Korea is literally livable because of the sacrifice US soldiers made. I could go on for days. Yet how many foreign troops have ever given their lives for the citizens of the US? It really makes you wonder why we should ever have done that. These countries don't even appreciate the sacrifices US soldiers made for them. Most don't even like the US. They do the opposite of paying it back. They come to the US and take, take, take. Seriously, fuk all of them.

One of the motivations of the the Declaration of Independence was to be free from foreign wars. Now, it's all we do.

what were they saving france from though? once germany occupied france there was no more deaths until the allies pushed in. their goal was not to kill white people

if anyone doesnt appreciate anything white ppl died for it is def the jews.

Iirc, 9/11 is the only time Article 5 of NATO was initiated.

In Afghanistan, under ISAF, I worked more with foreign forces like Canadians and French than the US

In fact, there was a pretty awkward power struggle at times because there was a deliberate effort to create this image that the US was not running things. None of us were in positions of of “authority” to make decisions. I mean, at the highest levels far from the battlefield the US was in charge but on the ground there was a deliberate effort for the US forces to be more of the working force while other nato countries were calling the shots.

I remember at Kandahar, getting in this really awkward conflict with some British forces who told us to take our magazines out of guns while we were on base. My unit specifically was “force exempt”, which meant we got to walk around with our shit loaded and ready to go 24/7.

A ramp ceremony is where a dead soldier is loaded on the plane to head back to their home country.

They would always come to ours and we went to theirs.

They were dying too.

This is just my personal perspective so I know it may not be reflective of the entire conflict, but just so you know, we were all in that shit together.
