Have you ever done an irish goodbye?

Its so fucking rude when people do it. Why?
-germ theory is 100% fake
-raw meat , raw eggs , raw butter, raw milk everyday crew
-no alcohol crew
-moisturize with butter and wash face with milk crew

When there are tons of people the whole ritual of saying goodbye is obnoxious, especially when you're tired and its late. I do it sometimes, and I never take it personally when other people do it

The only time I've done an Irish Goodbye is when I'm at the bar with friends and all of a sudden get way too drunk. I'm either worried about people seeing how wasted I am, or worried about actually getting home. So I make a quick dip out before things get worse.

The most recent time was a couple months ago, and I happened to be at a bar where I knew a bunch of people from growing up and hadn't seen them in years. For whatever reason I had drank a fair amount without eating, and started feeling really wonky and dipped out.

Just in general, it's not a great look to be absolutely wasted in public at age 41. It's maybe not that big of a deal around all strangers, but you certainly don't want anybody you know seeing you wasted in public at 41.

Completely understand. I'm that guy who ridicules people to the point of weapons being drawn if they bitch out and leave a party at 6 a.m.

I am an absolute professional at Irish goodbyes, especially in a large setting.

Taking an extra 30mins to say “goodbye” to everyone is completely unnecessary. Would much rather knock my drink back and dip out.
