How would you deal with ur neighbor mean mugging you?

Hes not looking to fight or he would. My thought is to just ask him if he wants to fight. But hes skinny so he probably has a knife.
Should i just let him mean mug me? Would it be a mogg to smile in return and wave or smth?
One time i asked him what the fk ru looking at. He just kept walking, but still keeps mean mugging me everythime we cross paths.

I had a rescue dog who didnt like other men. My neighbor said "let me go and say hi to her" I said, "nah, I wouldn't",
he walks onto my property anyways, sticks his hand over the gate (w/ the "beware of dog" sign on it) and she almost tore his hand off.

He made a comment like "I can probably take your house, but I wont"... That was it, I chased the kvnt off of my yard foaming at the mouth ready to kill him.
He ran into his house.

He stays away now and avoids me like the plague :) LOL... That took care of that problem, thx Olive (RIP Ollie the Rescue)..
