Whats the point of GORDON obsessing over money?

Guy is a delusional creepy 70 year old who obsesses over saving 10$ on his monthly budget while bragging about his 7 million retirement money.

He will not even use half of that money and he has a high probability he will be deceased within 10 years. So theres a good chance the state will get the money.

So basically he worked and saved his money and it will go to his neice/nephew he probally doesnt even know or interact with. Talk about a jew cuck.

Just a brutal red pill regarding money.

The answer is that Gordon is kind of a loser. Most retired people would try to have some sort of hobbies or robust social life or would take long trips to destinations around the world. But Gordon lives the same life as a retired guy who worked in a factory somewhere and is living on Social Security and a Pension of $4000/mo.

Yeah, the people I know who did the early retirement thing with $5-10M live much better lifestyles than him. One guy in particular lives in NYC and has gradually acquired a real estate portfolio in my city that has made him another $15M or so over the last 10 years. Takes a couple month-long trips every year to Japan and Europe, and will also come back to my city for 1-2 months every Summer to manage his real estate projects and spend time with family.

Instead, Gordon is out here going to Planet Fitnesss and taking daily walks through Little Haiti.

If I were in Gordon's situation, I would spend some time in Latin America setting up shop in different locations for like 1 month at a time. There are a ton of really attractive women in Latin America late 20s to mid 30s who would absolutely love to date an older guy with money, and they're not moneygrubbing gold diggers. He wouldn't be such a cranky old fuck, and would actually have some feminine girl draining his balls a couple times every day.

There's a middle ground between where he is and someone with a true poverty mindset who blows all their money. Like I've been telling him, he can earn $300k per year 100% risk free without touching the principal. That's $25,000 per month that he could spend without any worry or guilt whatsoever. I totally understand the mindset of not wanting to spend money, but he can 6x his monthly spend without any increase in risk whatsoever. And his lifestyle would improve significantly and he wouldn't be some creepy dude lurking in the background taking secret photos of 6/10 girls in bikinis.

With a risk free spend of $25k per month, he can be more of an active participant in life and not some lurker in the shadows.

Of course, but I get the feeling that Gordon is kinda stuck in a rut and doesn't have any friends in real life, so he could use some perspective to make his life a little better.

I have a buddy like this and it’s just how they are wired.

He tells me he doesn’t even care about what the money can buy it’s just a way for him to keep score. He will check his brokerage account 4/5 times a day. Just seeing the balance go up brings him great joy. He doesn’t think of money in the sense of what he can buy, it’s more like a collectors item to him.

Once he found a 20 dollar bill and he told me it was the happiest day of his life. This is a guy who is 34 and is worth 3 million btw.

Life is all relative. It doesn't seeem like you're trying to run with the Yacht crowd, so $5.5M is plenty to increase your lifestyle to something better without worry.
