I feel so bad for my co worker he has a CSB gambling addiction

He showed me his fanduel account, down 55k this year. Fanduel even gifted him 5k in free bets earlier this week and he blew it all again.

I told him so many times ti stop betting his crazy parlays but he wont listen

Hes a good dude but its sad. I can tell at work when hes on his phone like a druggie hes placing bets. Then he gets in bad mood.

They should ban gambling srs its ruining peoples lives

It's crazy how many people who bet on sports have no concept on bankroll management. It's literally the most important thing

What's crazy is Steve A Cohen won approval to open a casino next to Citi Field in Queens.

They were gonna build a Caesars Palace in Times Square, but the deal got killed.

Like WTF are they thinking?

I'm a car salesman. I've made 150-220K basically for 11 years. I'm 35 years old. I have absolutely nothing. I have maybe 13k saved, 80-90K in debt, no 401k. I used to have a 300-400k net worth and I've burned it all on a ferocious sports gambling addiction. It's been an up and down thing - in 2020, I hit a monster hot streak and was up to 500K positive. Then I lost it all, I got up big a few more times and then lost a lot more again. The last straw here was I switched dealers and I had 35K in a 401k and I figured I would hit one last big parlay and get out. I turned the 35K into 50K with bonuses...and I proceeded to lose 20 straight parlays in a row. It's just ****ing incredible.

Mathematically, the odds are I would have won 2-4 of those parlays and I've lost EVERY SINGLE FCCKING ONE. I just lost the last one now and I'm so immensely devastated, I can't even describe it. I've had several parlays in this stretch that have lost in the most soul crushing way imaginable - I had a 4 legger that I won the first 3 easily and the 4th one, my team was up 2-1 in 9th inning and gave up a 2 run homerun, then followed that up getting runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out and couldn't even tie the fcking game bottom of the 9th inning.

A long with this gambling disaster from switching dealers, I was talking into coming here by an old friend and everything seemed good. The first 10 days here have been fcking awful. I sold 21-28 cars every month at my last store this year and made about 20k a month. I've made 2500 so far in 10 days. I've gone through 10 or 11 customers in a row with no deals. I'm starting to seriously wonder if I made a big mistake coming here. The client base is just much much more difficult. It's the same brand so I don't think the client base should be much difficult - maybe I'm just having an awful unusual month but it's hard to not get depressed.

I just don't know what to do. Honestly I almost want to kill myself to not feel this incredible emptiness but I have a beautiful and amazing wife that I know would kill her. She's forgiven me for all my gambling fckups (although she doesn't know about this last 35K that I had in my 401k)

If you told me I'd either lose $50k or have to contract herpes and monkey pox, I would just lose the money.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

I had a patient get kicked out by his wife because he spent a good chunk of their children's college savings on bets over the course of two years and thought he'd win it back (and more) but never did

Bleak shit
Have fun and be yourself :-)

Miscers will laugh at CSB and that guy, then they themselves think they can predict the direction that stocks, houses, crypto, etc and will go and "invest" aka bet on those things.

JFL at their retardation and lack of self awareness.
