great 1956 cartoon about realities of being a romantic man
I mean. where to begin? there really are no great writers about romance that are women, despite the sheer volume of it. likely biologically incapable thus most women moving on after breakup/death of mate soonthereafter
EDIT: I was wrong...they tend to write romance....except about being in a committed relationship and then being swept off their feet by someone else, and how it was irresistable and they rationalize their male partner's pain away. (he was never paying attention to me...ummm cuz he was likely working to support you)

I remember as a 6yo watching this, on my living room floor eating my lucky charms. Even then, at 6yo, i thought to myself "Sloots gon sloot"

I've had women tell me about the "romance" novels they are reading...I would ask questions to get the details on it like "oh my who did that", etc. 99% of the books seemed to be about some twisted love affair involving cheating/murder/secretly fooking someone like a professor/detective/co worker. some of these women authors have written like 50+ books with each one having like 80,000 reviews and 4.7 out of 5 rating (by undoubtedly 99.9% females).
