Is anything more than basic exercise as waste of time for longevity?

let's say someone "lifts" moderately for 30 minutes a few times a week, goes for walks, maybe plays around doing other stuff like pickleball or something with friends....in terms of longevity would trying to kill themselves in the gym add even more time to their life?

i just don't see a lot of "fitness" nuts as a group living to 90-100+ years. is it mostly a human desire for control -- thinking that if something is good for us than doing a ton of it will surely be extra good for us?

Longevity is a mystery yet to be fully understood. Influenced by genetics, lifestyle, environment, luck. Jack Lalanne lived a long time

You need to strength train and get lean to fuck a girl properly. srs

Imagine fucking a girl and ur belly is swinging more than her ass. Imagine trying to hold your body up with your skinny arms. Dude you need to lock in. It's not optional. Stop looking for excuses to not put in the work.

getting some excercise does appear to help with longevity and quality of life...not sure if getting a ton of exercise to the point of making it a lifestyle helps even more. probably pretty good odds jack lalanne could've casually exercised 1-2 hours a week and lived around the same amount of years.

I would agree, it's overdone, particularly in the last 15 years
