Was anyone else pulling for Japan

Lost 2-1 to Brazil.. They were up 1-0 to end the first half

I think it'd be good for the game if more Asian and/or African teams went far. I'm tired of Brazil, France, Spain, and Argentina.

I liked how the Japanese fans come out with kabuki makeup. It was a cool story how they stayed behind to clean the venues

They deserved to lose.

After they went up 1-0 they played loke cowards and shelled up.

Bunch of idiots.
-germ theory is 100% fake

Part of me found that performative and somewhat annoying to be honest. Just leave your trash like everyone else does there. But I'm probably a jaded arsehole

I've never been to Japan, so I don't know for sure. But I read wrestling and baseball books as a hobby. I've read some bios by players and wrestlers who worked in Japan professionally (e.g. manager Bobby Valentine, wrestler Scott Norton). In their books, they said that it's a legit thing in Japan after events at Tokyo Dome and such. The players/wrestlers would tidy up the backstage area before they leave. The fans pick up trash in the seating area ... having been to countries that don't appreciate cleanliness at all (e.g. India), I think Japan's tradition on this matter is commendable

I was, and would love to visit their country one day.

Represent so much of what’s been lost in europe.

And gotta love the fans cleaning the arena after games. The opposite of Mario leaving piss bottles around.
