Many times I've booked a one way flight to a location around the world with nothing more than the first few nights accommodations booked. After a week, I'll often have a crew of people that I hang out with every day and party with. Other times, I'm somewhere like Taiwan where I'm not really looking to make friends, and spend 3-4 days completely by myself in some random city eating random shit and walking 10 miles per day. Both options are great.
