Does your gym allow teens in all summer?

Fuark. Went today later than usual at 10 and it was already starting to load up with broccoli headed groups hovering around the bench presses and every cable stack was taken for curls and pressdowns.

All teens aged 14-18 can work out free all summer. Making the place super annoying for the rest of us.

That’s bizarre they can workout for free.

What a stupid fucking business plan.

Piss off your current long term customer base and leave a bunch of money on the table from teenagers who would have otherwise paid with their parents money.

I’d be pissed and cancel my membership srs

They are trying to compete, because Goodlife does it every year. But yeah, the rest of us should get it free as well, especially for putting up with all of them.

Not free but I work out at the Y so I run into teens all the time. I also run into my 16 year old son a lot too. He lives with his dad-

Yup, the teens at my gym are very respectful and mindful regarding space, time and noise- they'll even send a scout from their group to let others know their group is going to float over to another piece of equipment. Not annoying at all

Rice Krispies pack of 60 were on sale at Costco once so I thought I'd try eating them preworkout like zoomers do.

I ended up just eating them normally, like 5 a day and they just seemed to crash my blood sugar rather than boost me.

Would not try again.

i'm thankful the amount of broccoli zoomers that i encounter at my gym is relatively limited, even during the summer months.

that's an odd plan to just let all teens lift for free

Compete with what, it's free?

Unless theyre a big gym with a huge juice/shake bar, etc then it would make sense..

The odds that any of them stay consistent are like 5 percent. And those 5 percent would have been willing to pay. The gym is leaving free money on the table.

It’s a retarded fucking strategy.

~3,000 Planet Fitness Locations x ~1,000 Summer Teen Zoomers Per Gym = ~3M Zoomers. Let's say CONSERVATIVELY only 10% Convert to Regular Memberships at $20/Each Average. That's 300,000 x $20 = $6M/Month Extra Revenue - OR $72M/Year.

$72M/Year extra rev they can tell Wall Street. and it's almost all PURE PROFIT because 90%+ won't ever show up.

you're leaking money. don't leak money. why not cancel and auto invest that $70/month into VOO?

Wish gyms would ban teens and zoomers. Especially the ones who hangout in like 5-10+ person groups. Especially the basketball dribblers dribbling in the weight room and ghetto handshaking each other every 5 seconds.

Given how fat some of these fucking kids are I'm all for providing some sort of opportunity to exercise for free. Business wise, if they develop a habit they may become paying customers down the line. Keeps the little cunts occupied too.

There should be a VIP area for regulars who want to avoid them though.

Yeah, it was only annoying for the first few weeks of summer. Seems like they've all gone back to fortnite or watching kick streams.

I go in the morning though, lol @ being in a commercial gym past 9am. That's when you run into the ones who go cause they had nothing better to do that day.

By that logic then they can't do NYE packages or enrollment campaigns cause thats annoying af too.

No one's legit canceling their membership over teens working out.
Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

Funny you say this because I think what if I bought a gym. Free weights are very hard to break. Your only real maintenance are the machines. My gym is 24 hours and has a card reader for access. Pay a couple employees $12/hr and thats it.

Should be easy?

You're going to get a gang of ****** shitting on your equipment.

My old office gym had to ban some of them because they were abusing the staff and - ded fucking serious - shitting on the locker room floor.

EDIT: lol at pa j eets being censored.
