As I get older I realize it was a wise decision to distance myself from other people

Especially as you get older as a single guy and set in your ways and stop caring about the opinions and wants of others

The benefits of interacting with people and having them in your life do not outweigh the burdens of doing so

Even if those burdens do not manifest themselves initially, they will eventually

This includes the unnecessary dramas of dealing with people that eventually come up

Or having to take their needs or wants into consideration if you're in a friendship or relationship with them

You eliminate all that if you disregard people

Only interacting with them briefly if you need them for something

Then going back to disregarding them so as to not have any real relationships...only temporary, conditional acquaintances with no investments
