My ex showed me that money and success won't get you girls sometimes

-been months since i seen my ex girlfriend ( struggling to get over her ) she has a new boyfriend that's :
-unemployed , no car , no ambition , lives with her and her mom in an apartment when she works her ass of in school & work , doesn't lift ,I mean the list could go on about him , also spent a year in jail recently
-So yesterday I had to stop by her house to get my laptop I left there . I gave her a hug and kiss. Also had the Honda Accord I just bought fully loaded and showed her that . She just said " nice " . Also still had my work iD around my neck at the time to show her that I still had a decent job

Afterwards I text her and ask her if she'd like to go for dinner or coffee and talk some things over . At first she said something to the effect of " I love , you are good looking I love your haircut , and it's a nice car you bought but I moved on " and then once I pushed in the slightest she became very bilergerant and rude towards me. Very defensive on this other guy who she even said " yeah he's a short guy with not a lot of money "

Moral of the story : once you lose a connection and she's gotten into another guy , the new guy could be in rags and you could be driving a gold Bentley around and it wouldn't matter . Needless to say, we are not meeting up .

Na i disagree, I think having money and a life of luxury is attractive to women as long as you don't push it in their face all the time. i think that's the offputting thing when you feel like you have to show someone that you have money.

OP sounds a lot like a guy I know. he has his own business, own place, decent car, just seems to really be motivated. His GF left him and is now working some poverty job and spending all her money buying cigarettes/beer for her new BF that is unemployed, and drives her car because he doesn't have his own. legit drops her off at work, leaves her without a car, to go do who knows what all day long. not only was the guy i know pretty upset/confused by it, as an outsider looking at the situation such as myself, i don't get it either. i know there is more more to attraction than having a good career/motivation, but damn.

maybe it's a self esteem thing on the girls part? like she doesn't feel she deserves any better, or choses to be with a guy of lower status to make herself have more power in the relationship?

She might be with him because she feels she needs to take care of him, maybe she feels good taking care of someone, trying to change him perhaps in some way ( lol women )

But i seriously doubt she would consider making a family with him, i.e children. He doesnt have any assets, women go for assets unconciously because assets > better care of their children. A woman will feel very strongly against making children with a man with nothing to offer ( legit nothing ).

If she still does then shes mental in someway, hardcore stupid or mentally retarded or ****ed up in some way which is the conclusion we come to as well as her maternal womanly instincts.

Ahah everyone in this thread dogging on Honda accords don't know **** . I got the V6 model with leather seats etc. btw new Honda accords go for like 30k -same price as a lot of bmws . I just don't feel the need to buy a bmw when Honda is much more reliable
