Fat chick at my work... I realised today why you shouldnt judge someone (srs tag)
> There's this girl on my team at work who's fat. I mean, really quite fat. Probably 5"3 220lbs and only 19 years old
> Is a nice enough girl with a good heart (will bring me lunch on my break) so I will make conversation with her if she speaks to me
> Co workers have said she fancies me, I'm actually a nice person IRL so my response is just "ah right okay". I dont laugh or scorn her.
> Chick popped up to me last night on ******** asking if I knew whether our team were put down to work this saturday or not
> Continue to have a decent conversation afterwards, was after midnight and things started getting a bit deep...
> Long story short, hertwin brother randomly committed suicidein 2014. No warning signs. No history of depression, nothing.
> Even linked me to articles in local newspapers, very sad to read.
> She then said I remind her of him (i was a bit lol wut at that... clearly projecting.)
> Then says shebinge/comfort eats when she feels guilty and sad about it.
Some people turn to drugs, some to alcohol, and some turn to food for that dopamine release
> Later I properly scroll through her ******** and look at old pics from 2012, 2013, before the suicide and she looks like a completely different person. Must've been about about 80lbs lighter back then.
Realised that helping someone who's obese is a lot more than just telling them to put down the food. You have to treat it as a dependence, like alcohol or a heroin addict. Most people who are obese and think they "cant lose weight" use it as a coping mechanism for some sort of trauma, abuse or loss that they've suffered.

Starting weight 130lbs
Current stats: 6"2, 210lbs.
The 8th and final rule: If this is your first night at Gym Club....... you have to squat.

Reps for being a decent person brah. Sometimes a person just needs someone to be nice to them. It's amazing what a little kindness could do in someones day.

Having sympathy for her loss is one thing but having sympathy for allowing herself to become reliant on a self destructive behavior. It doesn't make her a bad person, she is just responsible for how she looks.

You know what to do OP...
Bang her 6 ways from Sunday and then in that post-coital glow turn over, look her in the eyes and say "wow, you'd be absolutely perfect if you just dropped 80lbs", then report what happens next to the misc.

I dont judge people, you never know what people are going through / have gone through. Good on you OP
I had a friend in school, he was mentally handicapped, and could not see well. I would read test for him and he would mark the answers. He was picked on and bullied and I took care of him all through school. He was genuinely a really good guy with a good heart. We lost touch but every year on my birthday he texts me, before texting, he would call. 20 years straight

You know, it's pretty interesting to see how people deal with the various wounds that they receive during their lifetime. It's sad to see when somebody turns to a destructive habit, but it's a remarkable thing to watch them recover from it. So they may have thought she fancied you, but it turned out she probably was reminded of her brother when she saw you. I think that considering that she opened up to you, you're put in a position where you could help if you desire. And I don't think it'd be too bad to start helping. She admitted that she has a problem with binge eating in order to cope, and you could encourage her to get help for that.
Of course, you're not responsible for the actions of others in any way, shape, or form. But imagine how wonderful this world would be if we all looked out for each other

Reps OP. You're a good dude, and the misc really lacks good dudes.
It's really easy for people to claim that those with destructive habits bring it on themselves. While there may be much truth to that, without experiencing what the person has experienced, you are in no position to judge. It's very easy to rely on a vice as a crutch when life unrelentingly kicks you to the ground.
