Cop shoots and kills women charging at him with a meat cleaver

was this really necessary, she's moving at a snails pace, surely the situation could have been prevented without gunshots and someone dying.
I appreciate well thought out subtle trolling.

lmao as if the cop was in any immediate danger, he could probably outwalk the old women. I'm not saying what she did was justified, but it's quite clear she's got form of mental illness and had some sort of episode and I don't think she should have to pay for it with her life.

^^

yes, he put like 5 bullets in her.

Why no taser action ??

Seriously people look at the cops to fix these situations. Then blame the officers for not handling things "lightly" How about we blame the real people at fault. Dont chase after people with knives or engage in confrontations with the police and you wont get shot. When they say put up your hands. Just do it and argue your case in court like your supposed to.

Guess what, almost every murderer has some kind of mental illness. It isn't an excuse to rush a cop with a large knife. Was the cop in danger? He would have been had he not had a gun. A taser doesn't always stop people.

And risk getting hacked if the taser wasn't effective, as they frequently aren't.

In for misc arm chair QBs.

Brb why didn't he use the taser
Brb why didn't he use mace
Brb why didn't he do a spinning back flip kick and knock it out of her hand.
Brb no control over her own choices?

Risk a little to gain a little, risk a lot to gain a lot, risk nothing to gain nothing. Had he used other methods and they failed for whatever reason he could take a meat clever to the face. Doesn't matter how small the chance, she is armed with a dangerous weapon with a high potential for lethality.

So he shot her.

taser isn't guaranteed to stop the threat. not all police carry tasers.

give someone you love a taser and a gun and ask them to stand in the path of an oncoming meat clever. which one are you going to want them to use to reliably stop the threat?

Shooting at a person with an innocent bystander right behind them, amazing training. If he had shot and killed the bystander absolutely nothing would happen to the officer.

Woman with large knife threatens death or grevious bodily harm; officer defends himself and the public's safety as per his training. Liberals cry police brutality. Nothing to see here.

Thank you.

Tasers don't work 100% of the time.

Thankfully we have the OP, along with BLM and other anti-cop people, who want to judge every move a cop does. That's regardless of their training, knowledge or experience.

THAT COP KILLED SOMEONE, HE SUCKS!

It's a shame we live in a world where cops are wrong most of the time and some other clown is in the right.

I love and support our police and he technically was justified.

But was the fat old lady really a threat ? Would it kill the guy to retreat and call backup ?

the dude could have disarmed her without a weapon. I have a family member who is a schitzo I hope no one calls the cops on her cause she will get shot cause she get hysterical like this lady.

that woman was obviously mentally ill and on top of that she went down after one shot so I don't see the need for 4 extra shots.

Exactly, it's clear the women's in no state to follow instructions, She couldn't even speak English too. If you can't disarm a 60+ year old women without the need for a gun, you shouldn't be a police officer.

I love how people dont realize there are only a small handful of police in the world who don't carry guns. Even border officers around the world carry and are trained to shoot just like that video.
