Thanks for joining this thread and sharing. Those can be very challenging addictions. Have you been having any success with being in recovery?

Yum! What’d you eat.

Feeling not so good tbh, but I’m just telling myself it’s my brain slowly healing. Been reading that some think PAWS exists for porn as well. I think my recovery will be a super long road. Zero libido right now. And just kind of feeling ahedonic. I’m mentally prepping myself that I may not feel okay for a year or two

Also wondering if phenibit was messing up my brain. So going to try and stop that too

Honestly, I don't ****ing remember lol. I've been in kind of the same boat as you with PAWS. Not feeling motivated or interested in doing anything and my brain is not ****ing optimally lol. I think it is good to prepare for the possibility of having intermittent symptoms for the next year or two. And, phenibut is some pretty strong stuff. I used to take mega doses of it and ended up withdrawing from it.

Hey how's it going this week? Last week continued to be a bit challenging for me, but my mental health and energy had an uptick at the start of this week. On that note, I hope that everyone has been having a good week and your recovery is going strong!!

Same here! Time seems to be flying by, it's insane. Congrats on all of your progress! That's a lot to abstain from lol. Kratom was so tough for me to quit!

Think I need to admit I have a problem. Have not at a single day without a drink in over 8 months and haven't been sober in over a week. All started when i dated in an alcoholic. Don't want to quit completly but need to back off a lot on the booze.

I don't even remember the hours of 4pm-4am this past saturday or how I got home sunday or monday.

I know it is super cliche, but admitting you have a problem is the first and most important step. Have you thought about how you plan to reduce your alcohol consumption?

Hey what's up my sober misc brethren! I hope everyone is doing well and staying strong in their recovery!

My sobriety has been being tested quite a bit this week. I finally managed to get hired at a place working in the kitchen of a SUD/MH facility. But then HR called and informed me they can't hire me because I am on the exclusion list of the office of inspector general. This is related to my suspended nursing license. It's super frustrating because working in a kitchen is in no way providing direct patient care. ****ing so stupid and this **** makes me want to go out and drink or get something else.

I haven't been in this thread because I thought it might be triggering for me - but I'm feeling good and wanted to tell you guys that we're all gonna make it! I haven't read through everyone's struggles in here so not going to pretend like I know what y'all are going through - but lean on your support and have goals to push towards.

Love you all

I'm currently using my phone on the bus to head down to my outpatient group. I don't know why, but I can't do multiquote and I have to keep going back and forward with the pages, so I'm just gonna direct comments to people lol.

macro, welcome brah! I'm glad you came in here at posted! I think avoidance of the issue can lead to problems in a similar way of avoiding asking someone if they are suicidal in fear of triggering them.

CCFDthank you! I agree that sharing our challenges can not only help us, but help others!

On day 8 no alcohol feeling great had an amazing weekend.

Seen beer at the grocery store and on tv ads I had to look away.

Out of sight out of mind.

Most my friends quit now so it's easier this time around.

Hope everyone is well. If you messed up this weekend remember tmrw is a brand new day to start over.

Nice job miscbrah! And I agree with the comments about seeing the love and support here!

I am trying to be more active here and it’s really awesome to have encouragement from others as well as to give it to others.

CCFD, there is a misc sober discord! I haven’t been active and not many others either, but I’m trying to change that. All are welcome and I think we could further support one another.
