Here is just some random stuff.....
First one is a public outreach program for a Veteran's Day Ceremony. These were by far my favorite missions.
Some night flight training mission, I took the picture through my ANVIS
The one below is a picture of the Installation Commander participating in a M240H ground range, prior to doing the areal course. This was the first time our installation did this type of training. That is why the BG went to check it out. I was the range OIC.
This one was at flight school, specifically towards the end of "Basic War fighting Skills". That is where we first started tipping the helicopters on their side at tree top level. I took this picture on my "SOLO" day.
Aircraft are always moving around so we did a lot of "Ferry Flights". This one was to Corpus Cristi. Final flight for this helicopter. I kept the radio card, and one of the Pitot Tube covers.
These last three were in Iraq in 2007. I was still enlisted and a "ground guy". I know it is cliche to say, but I can't look at these pictures, hold the memories, and not have an overwhelming sense of "we were literally just fucking kids". Jesus fuck man......

I understand human psychology and the central nervous system are very complex, everyone reacts differently to trauma, etc. I can't imagine making that decision for any reason. Right or wrong, they tried to kill us every single day and they did succeed from time to time. I think I was just naive, ignorant and full of test, so I was arrogant. I did not feel fear at all. I would do an amazing job today out of spit for the US and love my brothers, with a much more regulated CNS.
I mean, I do get it. I made friends with locals. We are all just humans. However, they also tried to kill me when they thought they had the chance. I never let that slip from my mind, no matter how pleasant the interactions got. I did get complacent once, and a civilian almost got me. Thankfully my buddy was there to handle it efficiently and quickly. They will remind you to keep your guard up.
I can't speak for Bergdahl, I am curious about his mindset. It just doesn't make sense to me in anyway.

So this is cool af.
When I graduated flight school one of my buddies had contact with Mark Bowden. He was the author of the book “Blackhawk Down” and played a huge role in the creation of the movie. The movie that I watched when I was 17 years old on my way to boot camp. To this date it is by far the most effective piece of propaganda I have ever been exposed to.
Mark signed a copy of the book for me as a graduation gift.
I also had correspondence with Mike Durant, who was doing amazing at the time, as you could imagine.

eddie is way more smug. he keeps personal info short and to the point and just makes fun of wagies
ironmanlet feels the need to explain and justify in paragraphs why he deserves bum checks from the government. he sure does type a lot for someone with 1 less finger to work with. ironmanlet feels guilty he's ripping off the taxpayer. not the makeup of a smug person

Tiger Stadium.
Probably on our way to New Orleans to get lunch on a Monday. Because that was typical Monday. Other flyovers I have done included Texas A&M, and the Cowboys Stadium.

I bet you posted this from work.
I make more than you without working, this was the result of two decades of military service including combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan so the whole contribution thing doesn’t make sense. I lift like it is my job. My car is nicer than yours and I shower three to four times a day because I love it and I have the time.
Most of that shit you just spewed is just made up.
You seem…..

The gym was no issue at all. DB preacher curls are just as effective in my left hand as my right. Pullups are on spot. It was actually an easy transition. Other than the phantom limb shit that I still get pretty regularly, which can be a pretty intense sensation.

Thanks for letting me intensify my smugness lol.
