In Sunday school, we were taught that Kind David was a noble, kind-hearted shepherd with a heart of gold and stood up to the big bully Goliath. And with his measly sling, he knocked Goliath unconscious and won the battle.


This is a LIE. That is not how the story happend and David was NOT a kindly figure. The reality is that the sling did knock Goliath unconscioius, but then David took Goliath's sword and beheaded him. And then he used Goliath's own sword to behead all the members of Goliath's family.

And King David was a notorious adulterer who set up his own cousin to get killed because he thought his cousin was trying to push up on one of his favorite concubines. Ultimately, King David was disgraced and kicked out of Jerusalem.


Funny how Sunday school left out so many of the bloody, hedonistic parts of King David's life just like they leave out how violent the Old Testament truly is.

If someone came and attacked you and your loved ones, would you sit down? There's time to fight but I agree that if people incline towards peace, you should as well.

Unfortunately, there's always gonna be people who don't really follow this and you need a solution.

No i would rekt them, i dont expect god to come down from the heavens to pat me in the back tho. Violence has a place in humanity but it does not mean that our god approves.

How I see it is whatever hippie got into the bible and decided that turn the other cheek and to "love thy neightbor" meant to sacrifice your own well being for people who hate you and to allow them to fuk you over is dooming western civilization.
