- put your CC away or cut them in half
- make a budget and use debit only
- Make minimum payments on CC for now
- ask for payment plan on tickets
- pay tickets off
- focus on one card at a time. Start with the lowest balance one
- pay the minimum on rest of CC while you pay one card off at a time.
- repeat
- OP is now debt free

Go to your bank and get all your debt consolidated. Basically you take a loan from the bank for whatever you owe, I think you said 9k. So you get a 9k loan and pay everything you owe, then you just make 1 payment to the bank every month with WAYYYY lower interest and it's only 1 payment instead of juggling 4 different payments. Just pay the 1.

Edit - op don't listen to the people saying to focus on one at a time. If you do that instead of the loan from your bank you're going to end up paying way more in interest once its paid off. Obviously if you can't get a loan then that's your only option but you're going to be paying a fuk load of interest on all those debts, not to mention you might get sent to collections if you don't start paying right away. Once you get sent to collections it's good bye credit for 7 years.

While that's an excellent idea, debt consolidation only makes sense if OP doesn't rack up debt on his cards ever again.

So that means making a point to live within your means; and paying off the balance each month.

Good point; but here's the thing: Does OP have assets he can secure the debt to?

obviously not from the sound of things

$9k isn't too much to dig out of
but you'll need to avoid putting on more debt and live like a hermit until it's paid off

I've been there ($8800 credit card debt, carried it for nearly 8 years before I decided it was enough. Paid it all down in 4 months, but it was hell changing habits from feeling like I was able to buy whatever I wanted to saving every penny.)

Miscers make 10k a day so you should have no problem paying that off in 24 hours.

Bro i was in your shoes just about a year ago. Making minimum payments drowning in debt working like crazy and still not going anywhere. Stay positive bro the first step is asking for help. I tried the whole consolidation through a bank but I ended up using cards again and still ended up in the same hole. I called this company called consolidated Credit (im sure there's other companies like this but I knew a friend that used them and was in good shape financially afterwards) and i called them let them know my exact situation. I think they have some criteria before you qualify but any how call them get some details and decide if it's a good choice for you. I learned my lesson bruh haven't touched a credit card since.

call the phone and credit card companies and try to negotiate. you might be able to get some sort of settlement or at worst a lower interest charge. they really do not have a lot of leverage as they really cant make you pay them anything so they might work with you. the worst they can do is ding your credit report but that is the least of your worries at the moment.

I just don't want collection agency coming at me. Also I had perfect credit before this, now that is ruined.
No collection agency will come after you. Unless you stop paying altogether, yes, but you paying $1.00 to the people you owe keeps your account with them. Just don't stop paying, you'll never see collections.

Don't do this, it's the worst possible thing to do. If you ever want a house or a nice car please do not do this.

Working at casino as a dealer. After I finish school I was debating to move away and try live in different country. So credit score doesn't really matter to much to me.

Do you need a car? Iโ€˜m not sure how much your car is worth, but if youโ€˜re able to sell it for good money and put a good chunk of that towards your debt. Just an idea....

Edit: What you pay for a transit pass may be less than what you are paying every month on your car.

so thats 270 plus whatever gas is.

Start by going after the smallest debt hardest. Obviously you need to keep making the minimum payments on the other debts. Rolling it into one debt with a lower interest rate is not a terrible idea. That's if they will give you the loan.

You make roughly 1980.00 a month not including tips and before tax. Ill leave it at that amount since I'm sure even on a bad month your tips would displace the tax amount.

Give yourself a hundred bucks in fun/food money on top of your other bills. You should be able to pay roughly 1300 (plus extra if tips are good) per month towards your bills. Within a month you would pay the CC and then another month and and a half the phone can be taken care of. 2 months on that and you would at least cut the biggest one in half.

Also get a second job. even a minimum wage stocking job at 15 hours per week would add roughly 435 bucks before tax.

What are you trying to say? Op shouldn't pay? What are his other options? Legit curious what youre trying to say. He's young snd owes 9k which isn't a lot but what he's doing now by paying the minimum payment he's getting nowhere. And if he starts missing payments it'll go on his credit rating. Can't the companies also just fuk his credit up?

I see what you mean by secured and unsecured, never really thought of it that way. When I had a similar issue when I was younger I consolidated everything under a 1 year loan and paid everything off. Haven't had any credit issues since.

Time to start living responsibly. Not only earning money, but saving as well. Buy generic food, set the ac a little hotter, stop going to restaurants etc. All those little things add up

Hope you learned your lesson about having someone else's name on your bill
